Does anybody else find this hashtag thing absolutely terrible and cringe-worthy? I hope somebody at the club sees this and re-considers as it's bloody awful, especially when they put it at the end of every tweet including ones which contain bad news. E.g. "Goal for Bury, 1-0 Bury #ProudToBe" I mean really??

There's a questionnaire going around from the club asking about that amongst other things. Tell them, not a load of strangers who can't affect it.
I did see #ProudToBhaji on Twitter which I enjoyed

All clubs are trying to make better use of social media, but you're right... #ProudToBe after a tweet/ fb status about a 3-0 defeat comes across a bit odd.

The hash tag is a really good thing but the use of it is misplaced

You really should educate yourself as to why hashtags are used. - Good news or bad, they are helpful to some people. . . . . admittedly, not me, but I don't get hung up on stuff like this #couldntcareless

This only frustrates me when we are playing badly. I would prefer #UTC when we are losing.
Why not discuss it?
Yes a consortium is trying to buy the club. Let's discuss that. We can't discuss at length because we know nothing about them. We have no idea what will happen until they finalise the deal and give us their vision for the Cobblers. End of discussion.
Let's discuss the East stand. Wait, we can't because the work has stopped. End of discussion.
The Cobblers tried to buy someone but the offer got rejected. End of discussion.
The fans are in the dark about the main issues and the BrixworthCobbler wants to talk about something lighthearted. Stop being sour and read threads about things we know nothing about and make more unfounded comments or knock people on those threads.

During one of the bad runs of form, the use of #proudtobe often raised more comments on social media than the teams performance. It is another example of poorly run Pr and marketing strategy that has rubbed up some of the fans the wrong way.
What of the current issues would you like to discuss that you have actual knowledge on?
The world has been mad for ages.

😀 you have to remember that at any one time some people can only hold one thought in their tiny mind.

+2 Yes it's use has had some teething problems but I like the idea and they have picked something we all know as NTFC relevant to complement the old favourite #UTC which is used by others. #Proudtobe
