Having played a game more than nearly everyone else. Yes things seem to be looking up but 15th is still unacceptable.

1 defeat in seven league games. Things seem to be going pretty well.

Onwards and upwards.

We have three points more than we did at this stage last season. And a better squad (barring the strikers) too imo. If we can keep Tozer past January and get in a decent centre-forward to play alongside Leon/deputise for him when he's unfit, then maybe...just maybe...we can go on one of those runs again.

Yep, things are looking a bit brighter and now, but the next few games really are crucial, particularly the next two. They are both very winnable, and if we do win them we will be not too far off the 7th place, but two defeats and the pressure would be right on Sammo's back again.

I don't think Sammo is under any pressure now whatsoever. He was, when the chairman insisted the play-offs were the very least he expected but now Cardoza appears to have joined the vast majority on here in the opinion that midtable mediocrity is acceptable then where's the pressure? (I still find it hard to believe one person on here even said they'd be happy if we just avoided relegation!) To my mind Sammo is a pretty average run-of-the-mill manager but given the advantages this club is supposed to have I don't think even he could manage to get us relegated.

"Unacceptable"? I suppose we need someone with glass half-empty to keep rest of us with feet on ground!

Surely, you must admit future looks bright? But 11th= on points and just 1pt behind Macc which when we catch them could put us 9th on goal diff!

This div is so tight ...we're on course for promotion! Obviously, it's what position on the last day of season that counts, just have to remember last season - got to Play-offs a month too early! - and season before it was relegation only on last day.

We just need a couple of signings, have KT able to play in the system, and MJ and CH to perform all game or from off the bench, keep back 4 strong etc, Abdul fit etc then we're looking good for options.

Now we're only in one competition IMO has really focused us all this past month.

Phil- we're not on course for promotion. We need to average just under 2 points a game between now and the end of the season, which in itself is automatic promotion form, to get the standard 75 points required to ensure a playoff spot. Just doing better than last season, either position wise or points tally wise, would be acceptable imo- hopefully, with a slightly increased budget next season, and some of the big-earning dead wood (Guinan, Hinton etc) off our books, plus an additional years' experience under Sammo and the young players' belts...we'll have a decent crack at it. But once again we've probably left ourselves with too much to do this season. Hope the lads prove me wrong. Smiley

Just 4 points off 7th place in 2nd half of season is achievable.

And yes I do belong to the "Blues Brothers" church of faith!

This season has been largely unacceptable thus far, we have been woeful in many league games and frankly are a mile off promotion material at the moment.

Once again, Anything less than 7th in May is failure and serious questions need to be asked if we en up with another 11th or something.

We need to be insight of a playoff place right up to the final games of the season, meaningless matches are truely s***e.
