McDonald us hardly an up and coming non league gem. Will be nothing more than a back up player...
I seen him play a few times recently and think he could make the grade. Did ok against Birmingham imo. Maybe an astute CW signing; after all CW has "form" on this with D'ath.

An interesting theory, but I still cannot ignore him being a "convicted rapist", despite thinking that he might actually be innocent.
Wilder is known for giving people second chances, such as Luke McCormick and our own Adam Smith.
Would like to know what others think to this?
I would have absolutely no issues about us offering Ched Evans a return to professional football. He has served his time; he deserves the same rehabilitation as any other member of society. If we could get him, that would be a fantastic signing in my book.

D'Ath was with Reading, I don't see the connection.

Agreed & therefore probably nothing to do with a "changed" budget - more to do with the actual budget and given there are always limitations on this, you build your squad with a mix of first team & squad players. DC has almost certainly done many many things wrong but trying to blame every circumstance on him actually weakens the argument on the actual issues he has got wrong.

Can't see it happening myself Ched Evans has never apologised for what he has done, I believe his career in football is over.
Many, many people have made mistakes and broken laws and paid for it, If you break the law and you have paid for it, you should alway's be given a second chance, after all as I have said many times, ''he who has NEVER MADE A MISTAKE, HAS NEVER MADE ANYTHING ! as for Chad Evans, there any many people in prison that shoudn't be there and there are people who have never been to prison, who should have been, The system is not perfect and it never will be.

I'm expecting Rod to be a 4th choice back up and for us to sign another decent centre back before the window closes.

What, the same chance that a teacher or doctor or lawyer would get of resuming their old profession having served time for rape, ie no chance? Doing the time doesn't mean you are entitled to your old life back, it means you get to start again. Anyway, it won't be about ethics: no club will sign Evans if it means losing all your sponsors and half your fans - it's just bad business.
