Sad to see him go, Ivan is an exciting player with a lot of potential.

Delighted for him though, it's a dream move and I hope it all goes well for him.

He's one of air own....

He's gone now. No longer an NTFC player. Dead to me.

Only joking. Good luck to him. I wonder what money he's bagged. Mark Bunn was reported to be on £8k a week as 3rd choice keeper getting splinters then bags a move to Villa getting more bench time.

He is an exciting youn man, with lots of potenial, but at the moment that is all, He is very young and he will need carefull handling, at times he looked disinterested when I saw him, he could turn out to be very good at a higher level, but then again he may not. good luck Ivan, we are all hoping you can do it at Newcasle.

Nowt on the main Newcastle site.  We had our u-18s result up very soon after full time, but then we had won 6-1.

Shame to see him go, but this is the right move for his career. Perhaps if he was guaranteed to be playing every single game for us then he might've considered staying, but given Wilder's preference of playing a lone striker then Toney wasn't even guaranteed to play all the time. He'll probably be playing U21 games given that there are several players ahead of him in the Newcastle pecking order (including their new marquee signing Mitrovic) but Newcastle are known for raising good English strikers, so hopefully Toney can become one of those.

If this is a joke it's extremely subtle....

It's for his performances in the U21 Premier League (i.e. reserves league basically).

He seems to have made an impression there already as he's made a prem appearance, cup appearance and scored a couple for their under21 team. I wonder if there was an add on for prem debut?
Good luck to him
