Hi All. I'm moving to Northampton in the next three/four weeks and am thinking of getting over to Sixfields. I lived in London for 25 years and used to go to the Valley to watch Charlton, but I like to support my local team. So, honestly, whats the atmosphere like? Are the pies good? Do you have to queue all the way through half time to get a pint? I know football tourism is not to be encouraged, but frankly I've had enough spending all weekend and ridiculous amounts of money to watch a mediocre team lose when I could do it for £20.

Good time to start watching the cobblers mate. Shaping up to be an exciting season and we have some quality young flare players whom i think will take us close to promotion.
Best views and facilities are in the big west stand and you shouldnt have to queue very long for your beer and pie. Probably advise getting tickets in advance if u can to save queuing on matchday. I also expect us to get close to selling out a few times and we have some decent derby games coming up so buy in advance when poss.
Hope you enjoy your sixfields experience and you become a new fan.
ps take some of the comments on the main forum with a pinch of salt, theres some weirdos on there!

I've just won a pair of Cobblers season tickets for the 2015/16 season in a Capital One competition. Can't wait for the Dagenham & Redbridge game on Saturday and 3 home games in September.

Unlucky, what was the first, second and third prizes? Welcome, are you describing your state of inebriation or happiness?

Still merry despite today's result (3 pre match pints of Guinness might have helped....)
Looking forward to my season as a Cobblers season ticket holder, my Wife is less enthusiastic....

Two steak meals and a bottle of wine at The Walter Tull.... Our pre match venue for the three home games that we've been to this season. Capital One have also sent me a signed Cobblers shirt in addition to the season tickets. I quite fancy auctioning it off for charity if there's any interest.

Funnily I do play a bit of banjo... Well thanks for all your replies. Moved to a place near the Artizan in September, started new job and have made it to a few games and was genuinely moved at the last minute reprieve. A great club and loved being in the North End ( is that the Hotel end? - just done a bit of research and seen where the Hotel End was. I love grounds that are slap bang in the towns they represent, sorry I never saw it) last Saturday despite the result. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Great to watch proper football with a proper club again. All a bit of a shock after 10 years in Cornwall! The queue for pies was ridiculous though.
