The thing is the higher up the tables you go the more you will be punished for just a small mistake. A team from a lower league may have 6 chances and a team from a higher league 1, but they will finish the 1 chance, hence the higher wages and league.
Sorry, but that's just the cliche tosh you hear on MotD. Was talking about this after Plymouth game, when one such mistake was clinically punished by Argyle's attack. When commentators are soundbiting in Prem games, invariably we hear "9 times out of 10, he would have buried that" Oh really? Seems like 9 times out of 10, he doesn't! Likewise, when boot on the other foot, so as to speak, down in the FL, a miss is greeted with said cliche....wonder most Prem games don't resemble rugby scores!
Southampton keeping the Thierry Henri Prem theory going well tonight!  Grin

People forget just how high a league 2 is up the pyramid. For example Newcastle are currently 17th and Northampton 78th. In tennis a 17th ranked player would more often beat one ranked 78th but it wouldn't be a shock if it was the other way round.
League 2 isn't the bottom league but just the lowest that gets full media attention. There's people who support prem teams that think our players are milkmen and taxi drivers during the day.

Oh and I forgot the player who decided not to bother defending the second free kick at all, in favour of standing motionless with his hand in the air while his player scores Newcastle's 4th. Was it Buchanan?

If it was Buchanan, 5' 7'' marking Williamson, 6' 3'' , I think that whoever sorted out who was marking who needs to take a bit of the blame.

So you're saying the premier league players are no better than the league 2 players?

My return journey went a bit like this......

20 min walk back to the car after the game, was parked in a multi storey near the Metro Arena. Got lost getting out of Newcastle, ended up below all the bridges over the river!! Finally found a way up, over the Tyne then hit traffic waiting to get on the A1, 20 mins of crawling, got on to the A1 only to be diverted off at the next junction then back down the slip and back on again so more queues!
Drove a bit further up towards Durham services, came off to get petrol and supplies for the journey back, couldnt get back on Southbound again as they'd shut the junction, back on the Northbound to the next junction, off and round the roundabout and back Southbound, back past Durham services about 20 minutes after i'd left them!!
Noticed a sign saying A1 closed at Scotch Corner, diverted off the A1 just past the Angel of the North, A1231 towards Sunderland then the A19 all thw way down past Hartlepool and Middlesbrough, past Thirsk onto the A168 and back on the A1(M)...... lots of roadworks to encounter, three or four 50mph areas around Leeds, more roadworks down the M1, more speed restrictions, then the never ending 50mph from Crick to Northampton. Junction 15A to 15 was closed so came off at 16 and went through town!!

Yes, back just after 3 despite not exactly obeying the speed limit when there were no cameras about!!

I guess you got away and onto the A1 before they started shutting it left right and centre!!

Forgot about this last week but did anybody else make a note of looking at the west stands big brother, the gallowgate end? Same firm built both and the west is just a mini version of it.
