Yes, lets force our players to go a month with very little in the way of a social life so they can do training or travel to matches every day. Like us, they're human beings and they have to take on a workload that is a lot more than what we think. Everyone has their breaking points.

A club with an alledged top 5 budget should

2.  Beat Accrington Stanley.

If you had gone to the match then you will have found that Stanley were not a poor side certainly limited but that is no surprise! They did not look like odds on relegation fodder.

That's true but it's what they do, I doubt if any of them would want to swap with any of us. Ten hours a day on a building site in the middle of winter takes you quite near to breaking point !

Any Club that harbours ambitions of promotion/reaching the play offs really have to put the likes of Accrington to the sword.

What on earth is D'Ath doing for the penalty? Ludicrous defending.

Good finish by Rico though.

Overall - after 5 games there are some teams in false positions, I'm not sure that we are one of those.

At any rate, I was just saying that it has been a demanding time for the players across all the clubs and I think it just needs to ease off which it will do after the Colchester game where Tuesday night fixtures become the exception rather than the norm. Just because they're footballers doesn't make them any less human than the rest of us. You could be forgiven we have a few people on here who have a touch of envy about them...

I'm envious about how few hours a week that they work for the wages they pull...

I don't suppose your job involves receiving social media abuse, or with a potential end to your career always one tackle, foul or freak injury away. It isn't even particularly well paid at Division 2 level.

Yep I will second that - the life of a professional footballer, even at our level is pretty dam easy and I would suggest anyone on this board that has made a success of their working life has worked longer hours, made more sacrifices and had their social life disrupted more than 90% of professional footballers.

Then why on earth do you spend your hard earned money watching these darlings prance around?

Or moving hours from your loved ones and only seeing them at weekends, sounds a right barrel of laughs doesn't it

Anyone else notice Byrom looking supremely disinterested in getting the ball during the last section of the highlights?
