Pretty much agree with this. We need to know what or if anything is going to happen with the ownership as the uncertainty seems to be affecting everybody & everything at the club. I'm not Wilder's biggest fan but I have got some sympathy with him as he's clearly not been able to bring the players in he wanted & in all honesty he must know he's a dead man walking if the takeover happens if you look at what has happened to existing managers at the other clubs when new owners take the reigns.

He still has around 20 months of his 3 year contract left. I doubt he is losing too much sleep over being paid off to the tune of £150k if he is sacked, which I dont think he should be. I think we have one of the best squads in recent years, yes we have had some bad results, but so have Chelsea. Just calm down and enjoy the games. I much prefer watching us now than I ever did watching that 10 game winning run under Boothroyd. At the end of the day, thats all that matters. Enjoy the match, go home and get on with your life. Football goes in cycles, our cycle is between the bottom two leagues, enjoy the good days, forget about the bad ones. Lets hope we have more good days than bad days this season.

If you take today as an example, every ball coming down from the sky was won by a Dagenham player. Every bloody one.

Pretty sure Rico won one. Or was it 2-0 yesterday?

While I agree with your comments in general, I urge you not to be too blinkered because if we sleepwalk through this crisis some more then I'm afraid there will be no more cycles to go through in the future becuase there will not be a club to support and "enjoy"

After the Plymouth game last week, for the first time in my time supporting us (15 years and counting) I thought, 'I don't care anymore'. I didn't bother going to the Colchester tie last week, as I had just had enough. Since 2009, apart from the play-off year under Boothroyd ( and even that wasn't great) squad changes year after year, managers come and go, but it is always the same crock of s*** but just with different kits on playing hoofball. Granted, we miss Holmes dearly, and we pass better with him in the team, but apart from the end of last season the only time I can even remember us passing it around so well was under John Gorman and Stuart Gray.

Maybe since we got relegated players think of us as an easy way to make money. For our level we sign some really good players, but ultimately they just fade away or not get started. Think Harrad, Demontagnac, Davies, O'Toole. Without naming names, I think a few who started yesterday will be following in the same direction. Getting rid of Collins, one of our best defenders and all round footballers (pace, two feet) was strange and out of all the transfer dealings this summer this has angered me the most.

Call me a traditionalist, but in our league 4-4-2 is the way forward, and to not have two strikers at home is baffling. I read a post maybe on this thread or another that some of our midfielders hadn't had a shot on target this season. In a 4-5-1 you need the midfielders to contribute more, and clearly this isn't working. I doubt Wilder will change it though, as he seems the stubborn type, and finds it hard to hold his hands up.

Finally, the takeover. To be honest, I gave up caring about it a little while ago, and while I wont be getting my hands dirty in regards to organising and taking a lead role in a future protest, I admire the passion from those who have got involved. Let's just hope for our sake that the potential new owners care just as much about football and taking us higher up the leagues than they most likely do about making money for themselves.

Anyway, I will be there next week, and for those who don't know me, I will be the one with steam coming out of my ears if we play as bad as that again.

First off managers who are sacked very rarely get paid up there full contract. Generally it will be settled between club and manager/or there will be clauses written in the contract stating that the club can act if the team fall below 12th etc etc..  The point is managers don't just walk away with bundles of cash for doing a s***e job its a myth.

Ian Atkins?
At least it took him a while to get it.
I heard that DC met Gary Johnson after he was sacked and negotiated a pretty hefty settlement for his remaining contract rather than run it down. Three days later Johnson was announced as Yeovil manager.
