I've just realised that when visiting away fans at Sixfields have been singing "going down, going down..." the last few seasons, it was actually directed at Big Dave.

Mrs C - "Looks like there's £2.65 million of it missing, Darling."
Hope they've thought to check down the back of the sofa.

I can't remember the complete Luton case but wasn't there's to do with club finances? A saving grace could be the fact these irregularities (if proven) are to do with other companies not NTFC Ltd so maybe they'd fall outside of the FL duristriction.

Maybe Iest but the borrower is NTFC and so its board of directors would be responsible for the proper and lawful use of the funds. If the Cardozas excluded the other directors from the necessary information it is clear where responsibility lies.

Vintage, you are assuming that the blame lies with NTFC.

Devon, the question was in relation to the club's status with the Football league and the possible consequences if financial irregularities. What I was stating was that the loan was advanced by NBC to NTFC and the use of the loan would be a matter for the directors to decide on in normal circumstances. That is why a board of directors exists. From what we know the Cardozas do not appear to have involved the other directors in any meaningful capacity and alone decided where the loan went. Clear?

Vintage, I do understand Company Law quite well and the role of Directors. You are making assumptions on what has or has not happened behind closed doors. All I am saying is that it is best to stick to the facts and wait to see what the outcome is of the Court hearing. I have a good understanding of what is available to the public on this matter and I can assure you that it is certainly not clear.

Devon, what I stated about the non involvement of the other directors fits in with what the Trust first commented on via its website some weeks ago since when Andy Clarke has resigned. The Cardozas have run the club as their own fiefdom and that is largely why we are where we are - in an terrible mess.

Having dealt with HCA since.it's creation I'm pretty confident that it had a budget of more than £4m. They succeeded English partnerships who previously owned the land around sixfields. One thing that.confuses me is whether they still own any of this land as i keep being told that the cobblers lease the north gravel car park from them for so many events a year.and that HCA still own it yet Cardoza included this area in his development plans. The fair that is there now for example get permission from HCA to use the land.

The Fair Company in question hires the intended venue well in advance - perhaps two years?

Seems some people would rather bicker about spelling mistakes or who are and who aren't trolls rather than take two minutes to read what someone has gone to a lot of trouble to put together. We wanted answers, someone supplies some explanations and they get shot down. Go back to moaning about the petty things, I give up.

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with Tony dearsleys opinion on some of the situation regarding the loan and lease I am massively impressed with how much information he has managed to find out over the past year.

Tony, I am not sure that it is advisable to obtain invoices from an architect for DC's house on the pretence that you are carrying out an audit of the accounts for NTFC. Probably best to raise any concerns you have to the relevant authorities but then leave it to them.

I cant believe what I am reading on here but Devons advice to TD on obtaining invoice info on a pretence of an audit on behalf of NTFC is totally correct. Amazing story.

I haven't read any explanations to the 5 questions yet. It's mainly recycled material from Palethorpes blog.
