My beloved Chelsea.
I would always miss the Cobblers. But should they cease to exist (ain't gonna happen) I would happily spend time with my old mates down at the Bridge.
I wouldn't do that Tel. No offence.

I reckon no Cobblers would mean no football for me. I have weaned myself down to one game a month now mainly due to other commitments and although I keep a close eye and ear through THE and Radio Saints, I'm ok with that "fix" A passing interest in Liverpool and Wrexham through my partner would maybe tempt me but I agree life without NTFC is unimaginable. That's why I find the people on here in denial of the club's situation very strange.

I don't think anyone on here is in denial anymore are they? Admittedly a few desperately want Cardoza to pull some sort of miracle out of the bag so they can say "Told you so" rather than putting the club before their ego but I honestly don't think anyone is in denial of the massive balls up anymore.

I don't think the reason that a few people are still clinging on in the hope that Cardoza will "pull some sort of miracle out of the bag" is anything more than that surely would be the best possible outcome now for the club? Do we really want to bump into each other in the street in a few years time and say "You were right all along" quickly followed by "What do you do now on your Saturday afternoons?" As for "I told you so" posts, try the redevelopment thread, there was about 11 pages of posters patting each other on the back when it was announced the council had called in the loan. Funny isn't it, people would rather the doom mongers were right and the club suffer than anyone else who might have tried to give the situation the slightest optimistic view. That's really sad.

Once again Marvo we pretty much agree on most things there but your Hotel End persona won't see that. You call them Doom mongers I call them realistic in general. Admittedly some were way too repetitive but the same can be said of the happy clappers and it could be argued their constant badgering finally brought things to a head and made the trust sit up and take notice. I have no idea if somebody buying the club out would better for the club in the long run, who'd have guessed Cardoza would drive us so close to going out of business when he arrived on the scene. We just don't know John but I'd be shocked if they did a worse job business wise. As for the patting on the back well some just don't have the class others have. 😉

I think you have misinterpreted (As a wind up or intentionally we'll never know!) Some people have been suspicious of DC, his motives and the way he's been running the club for a long long time. Many of us worked him out and wanted him out for the benefit of the club. News of the loan not being paid was not greeted with any positive aspect regarding the damage to the club but the fact his tapestry of deceit is falling apart. Nobody is happy with the situation but happy that the cancer within the club is finally being removed.

I've just watched a film in which they tell the story of the two fighting wolves.
One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, hatefulness, and lies.
The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, humbleness, kindness, friendship, generosity, faith, and truth.
Which one wins the fight?
The one you feed.

I want him to pull the miracle out of the bag ; dont particularlyy care how he does it. If it means telling people "told you so" thats a small price to pay. In any case you have a long history or grudge against DC which you will justify when its convenient to do so!

I shall divide my support between whosoever is playing Chelsea, and Oxford. In the unlikely event they ever meet, I will wish for them both to lose.

Don't be like that Well five years ago it would have been Manure and Oxford, but Chelsea now seem to have taken on the same cynical, arrogant, bullying persona the Ferguson's teams once epitomised. Sorry.
