If you had a deadline to repay on Friday wouldnt you wait until Friday to repay it? I personally would.
If you had the money to make the repayments, wouldn't you have made them on time meaning there would have been no deadline to meet? I personaly would.

Can I claim something is going to be announced tomorrow? I don't think anyone has had that one yet.

It's hard to see who would be more unpopular if we did go into administration. Sure, the Cardoza's would have an effective life ban from going to Sixfields but the Council may well have ruined a perfectly good season if that is the case. As a fan, I am desperate to avoid going into administration as this season could well be ours and while I will support the club regardless of what league they are in, it will be an incredibly bitter pill to swallow if that 12 point deduction comes into play. While some point to Southampton and Bournemouth when it comes to what might be, we could also do a Stockport and Portsmouth and just fall through the leagues.
Best hope we find a buyer and a deal is made at the 11th hour or the loan is fully repaid.

I'm sure something will be announced tomorrow - quite a few things in fact. But our friend cobblerron said yesterday there would be some big news today regarding the takeover, just wondered where this big news is. It's not the first time are hopes have been dashed though is it, i'm sure cobblerron will give us some good reason why no announcement has been made in due course.

In his defence, he did use the words "might be". But he has also predicted something like this before and nothing came of it although I too expect some sort of announcement tomorrow. When is the deadline exactly? Is it tomorrow night or Friday morning?

I think the chances of finding a buyer, having them complete due dilligence, and having them ignore what the Indians have apparently seen is pretty slim don't you? I'm standing by for weeks of council inaction, and not a lot of anything going on! Should we make anything of the fact that Cardoza "didn't want to sell" or at least "didnt want to give up control".........he was only seeking investment from outsiders at the outset, but now his greatly hyped Indian consortium has bitten the dust he still seems to be looking for a total sale, quick escape, call it what you will!

I think he used the words 'may be' but as always seemed fairly confident of something happening. I think the deadline is tomorrow, therefore the loan needs to be repaid by end of business tomorrow.

Whether or not all that has been done with a different party is something else. If the club can present a credible buyer to the Council tomorrow, then I imagine the deadline will be extended or cancelled entirely, but only if they complete the deal shortly. Either way, we will have a better understanding of our fate in 24 hours. Makes one nervous.

When do u think the council will actually say that Cardoza hasn't paid up? Do u think they will release a statement at close of business tomorrow, Friday or possibly next week? I have a feeling the statement will just be short, state that they are disappointed that the sum hasn't been returned and that they are considering their legal options. That's all they will probably say on the matter for a number of weeks at my guess, leaving is in continued limbo for a while.

They wont want to be seen as rushing to bring the end of our club. My guess would be a new deadline.

The council will order a court date ASAP on NTFC, this is way to high profile for them to waste time and there are a lot of reputations to be covered. Only one person to blame for the suffering of 10,000 loyal fans around the world. The end is nigh.

Although thanks to the great work done by GPC we now lnow the Council will have a certain amount of blood on their hands. How convenient for them then that someone else will get all the blame thus covering their own inadequacies.

Certainly the insights offered by GPC, Insider and Herts have been welcome additions to the debate. They have taken time to research and offer salient points about the predicament we are in... Much appreciated.

An alternative outcome is NBC go after the personal guarantees made by Cardoza. The ideal situation for us all is that as much as possible of this loan money is recouped and he is ousted and replaced by a local consortium and Cardoza gets not a penny more than a nominal £1.
At the same time Buckingham get their money back from CDNL.
I would then hope that the Saints show some neighbourly love and share some tips with us. Above all it is important that there is a Barry Ward style figure in the background to keep the club run in a prudent manner. Prudent does not mean no progress just look at Burton
