This is the 5th most read story on the BBC news website at the moment. All publicity is good publicity...
I had no idea that article was going to be written. I was contacted by the BBC a couple of times last week just to ask some questions about the shirt. This was then published yesterday and ended up going pretty viral. My phone was going mental yesterday. In regards to the shirt itself, I have made a decision to relist the shirt tomorrow. The 2nd chance offers have been made to pretty much anyone who bid over £1,500 and no one has decided to purchase it. It's of course a gamble but I think it's pretty much the best option right now.

The Bayo shirt has been relisted this AM for a 5-day auction. The final value fee from the original auction have been refunded. Let's hope there's no time wasters this time around. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/172007814853. Happy bidding.

In amongst all of the b*llocks of the Bayo shirt, another payment has been received. Was that donated by Roy himself?

It was. I was given his mobile number and spoke to him a couple of weeks ago. A very funny man.

What a top bloke! That has to be worth a fair bit (both financially and sentimentally) so for him to give it up for the good of the club is really a terrific gesture.

Given the good news at the club this club re: KT's takeover, a decision has been made (backed by Bayo) to put the proceeds of his shirt to the Coppafeel charity rather than towards the Trust. There's still 24 hours left and it's only at £310 at the moment.

Cheers, Alf. A final update from me as the last couple of payments have now been received to wrap up the eBay sales. The "Signed Framed Mark Bunn (Aston Villa) Match Worn Northampton Town Shirt 2007-08" ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172000682826) sold for £132.00 and then 'cancelled' through eBay and the money transferred directly. All £132.00 goes to the Trust. The "Adebayo Akinfenwa Signed, Match Worn, Hat-Trick Scoring Northampton Town Shirt" ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172007814853) eventually sold for £440 with £384.37 going to Coppafeel. The final total stands at £3,824.93 (give or take a couple of pence for rounding purposes) which will be directly transferred to the Trust's bank account as soon as the monies are available via PayPal.Modified on 1st December 2015 as I had mistakenly said the proceeds from Bayo's shirt were going to the Trust rather than Coppafeel.

Apart from all the good which might have done had the s*** totally hit the fan, all the publicity surrounding this has been excellent for the Trust and the club, so well done on so many levels Ben. The latest: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-34993114No s***, Sherlock! Is Mr Faulkner part of our little online community?
