Maybe its about time a winter break was considered…  Roll Eyes
So we have a two week break, every season, when the pitch is most often playable every year. The only other option would be to have a 2pm kick December to February to delay any refreezing of the pitch when it gets dark.

The temperature there is above freezing all today and overnight, with rain falling. They obviously don't want to play, all they needed to do was clear the residual snow and let the weather do the rest. Unbelieveable. If that had been Sixfields we'd have been playing. With another big freeze due next weekend we could lose the Crewe away game and the Lincoln home game on the Monday.

I am thinking that Tuesdays in Feb and March are going to be busy

Can't believe that this wouldn't have been playable today. It's very mild and has been above freezing for over 24 hours. In fact most of the snow is gone in Bedfordshire.

Must be a local micro climate as it was no use for Luton Town - whose game was postponed.

We went down to south Bucks on Tuesday (Great Missenden) and on the way back travelled via Luton/Dunstable and there was still lots of frozen snowy ground there, not to mention a horrible fog. I'm not convinced that Hereford was unplayable, though, it seems to me that they angled at getting the game off far too soon. If they'd delayed a decision until early Tues and been determined to clear their pitch of snow I reckon the game could have gone ahead.

A little further south, but no probs at Bath City v FGR yesterday...travelling through Wilts, virtually snow free. Hereford, so different?

FGR fans could hardly muster a song - even when 3-1 and 4-2 up...had to get a "we're the left side..." and a "Hey Jude" ditty going to breathe life into em... I balked at "We all follow the Rovers.."  Grin

Depends if Hereford bothered to cover their pitch, that being the case, maybe they couldn't muster up enough volunteers to clear the snow!!
