Walkers kicking is wanker, or wankier. Not sure of the correct word.

I don't think we gave him away for free - I think that any money is probably reliant on appearances and stuff.

This is probably closer to the truth - Judging by the amount of time it took the deal to go through, I'd wager that what happened is that the club offered Dunny the same contract as before for the sole reason that we'd get some compensation (GJ had no intention of really keeping him), but Coventry called GJ's bluff, so a deal had to be struck. I reckon it's no more than a sell-on clause.

Andy Thorn said he was free. NTFC said it was an undisclosed fee. Someone is telling porkies.

Gotta be Andy Thorn ..... his eyes are too close together Or it was a Free as he was out of contract, but had to offer compensation to avoid tribunal.

I wonder what we were being compensated for - howlers, poor kicking, not comanding his box etc. I don't reckon we were due a lot.

Apparantly he had another head wound injury so could be Petr Cech's stunt double.

I doubt we'll get much back for him whatever the deal, but he obviously wasn't in Johnson's plans so getting shot of him instead of keeping him on the wage bill suited our club.
I feel that some comments about Dunn have been unfair; obviously all players must accept professional criticism as well as be happy at any compliments. His problem was that Stuart Gray insisted on playing him despite him being a) inexperienced and b) totally out of form, but Dunn then put himself back together after that dreadful episode to later rectify a lot of his game and was in my opinion better than the League 2 average; presumably those at the Coventry end who know about the game felt he had further portential, so best of luck to him.
Mark Bunn hasn't yet had the lucky break he deserves, and unless something unforeseen happens at Coventry I expect that Chris Dunn will be in a similar waiting role. Presumably at that level you get a reasonable income even if you stay on the bench, but if you're in the game to play competitive football, just hanging around in B-grade games must be soul-destroying.

It has to be bizarre for a League 2 club to allow their 1st choice keeper who's 23 years old to go "on a free" two divisions up to a Championship club. Don't forget, the people on this site who go to games voted him player of the season last year.
