My major concern, and I think it is the most important one of all is this: If the club goes into administration in 20 days or so and an administrator is appointed to run the club and sort out its affairs where is the money going to come from to pay the staff and player wages for the period of time that the administrator runs the club?
The administrator does not have a pot of money to put in (their costs are bloody enormous anyway..) the only source of money is from ticket sales etc. This is where all supporters need to focus - we will need a large sum to keep going. Nobody at any stage has said what the annual budget for the club is; what proportion of ticket sales are cash etc?
Wandering Cobbler is absolutely spot on here. Forget about where the NBC money has gone for a second. It is more or less irrelevant to the survival of the club from here on in.
My expectation is that season ticket money has been spent (including the income stream from anyone spreading payments, where the club will likely have sold the future income stream to generate cash).
What regular income does the club have to meet its on going liabilities? It is probably limited to ticket sales (not including season tickets), match day income, merchandise, sponsorship (not sure how much annual sponsorship is taken up front) and that's probably the lot (some exceptionals like prize money and TV).
To keep the show on the road an appointed Administrator would have to meet the clubs' on-going liabilities from this income. This includes wages and salaries, match day costs, other trade creditors and, following administration, Administrators' fees.
