It's quite simple pick the strongest team and get into round 3...any talk of picking a weaker team is ridiculous IMO and also a tad disrespectful

And if we pick up injuries or suspensions to Richards, Adams, Byrom, Cresswell or Diamond?

Rest the squad and just put out the supporters team against the Northwich Victoria arms!

It would be a good incentive to guarantee all those paying for a ticket to this shooting fish in a barrel exercise a ticket for our certain 3rd round home tie against the likes of Arsenal/Chelsea/liverpool etc..
It'll stop all the bleeding hearts bleating about missing out and stop any Npton plastics getting tickets.

(just joking Northwich Vic fans, I think its going to a replay )

I'd go

Clarke
Lelan Cresswell McDonald Horwood
Byrom Watson
Potter D'Ath Hoskins
DCL

Keep Diamond, Richards, Buchanan and Adams fresh for Luton the week after. More than capable replacements to come in, keep D'Ath and Potter in as they seem to have hit some form, and DCL has already proven he can score goals. Holmes can come on for the last 30 to gradually build his match fitness back up.

Sorted.

No place for Chris Hackett then? This could be an opportunity for him to show us what he used to do  Wink

Would definitely go with our strongest possible XI for this one.

There is some serious money to be made if we get through to round 3 and get a plum draw... I dont think Wilder would do anything to jeopardise getting through.

Would expect the same team as yesterday except for moloney coming in for lelan.

Plus Watson for JJ and a change of keeper.

Joel Bryon used to play for us and was fantastic and is sure to get a good reception.  I remember him scoring a great free kick against ex spurs keeper paul robinson in a preseason friendly v Blackburn.

Ryan Clarke used to play for us too.

Both played in the match for us when we beat Oxford away on the last day of the season stopping them from having a chance of reaching the playoffs.

The lure of a big team and big money in the next round should convince us to start with our best side. Anything less could be suicidal. OK, get 3 goals up then sub off 3 of our key players. Do it the other way round and go 1-0 down, there's a mountain to climb.

Glad that, the now imperious, JJOT serves his suspension for this match....prob would been rested anyway.

But we need to take this seriously , to maintain the momentum and the prospect of a plumb / dream tie in Round £.....that would totally convince me that our luck has turned.

Bring it on !

Think we should go with :Clarke, Lelan, McDonald, Cresswell, Horwood, Watson, Byrom, Hackett, D'ath, Potter, Calvert-Lewin

I think we need to rest a few key players but still field a pretty strong XI. This is an important fixture because of the potential reward in round 3. Also, playing reserve team football is a lot different from competitive matches so I wouldn't think its a good idea to just throw loads of reserves in. A good balance between players who have got minutes under their belt recently, combined with fringe players is the way to go IMO.

Play the strongest team possible. I want to win and I don't want any excuses. 3rd round could be a massive money spinner.

At the very least play the best back 4.

I think JJOT is suspended so gives Taylor/Watson a run out.
