Who is going to be the first to thank Cardoza, who clearly had the club's best interests at heart? I forgot he is currently banned. What an awful couple of years. Hopefully the start of a brighter future off the pitch to follow current form on it.

I would like to thank kelvin for what I believe is a genuine interest in the club. Whilst their are questions other his funding he does appear to be only interested in the club and not the development land around the club. I'm definitely excited for the remainder of the season as he will clearly back wilder.

After all is done I hope you will agree that this is better than having an Indian consortium. Don't call me a rasist !

Is it now? Not that Indian consortium (who it turns out were British anyway) but ANY Indian consortium? And I wouldn't call you rasist because that isn't a word in the English language.

In fairness to defender, the consortium turned out to be headed up by Ravi Rach and I would definitely have had my reservations about it if they had taken over. Would have been out with one mysterious 'property developer', in with another.

There's a lot of people we need to thank in this. Kelvin Thomas and his consortium for buying us. Chris Wilder for building an exciting team and keeping them playing well, for sticking with us when he had opportunity to leave, for the speech he gave after the Notts County game. To all the players for continuing to put in performance after performance and giving us all something to cheer about for at least one day in the week, and again for not putting in a request to leave. But my biggest thanks, and it has been mentioned a lot on here over the past few days is to all of the staff at the club. To turn up day after day without being paid and not knowing if another payslip was going to appear, to keep the club running and to do so in such a professional way. They are a credit to the club and I hope they get rewarded in some way.

Don't forget the fans of other clubs who have chipped in for our cause as well as the tireless work by some of our own supporters.

.....whilst all the plaudits are definitely justified and I'm proud of all the people positively involved by biggest thanks still goes to NBC - yes of course they were covering their past mismanagement and yes without KT's bid, the involvement of the trust, the loyalty of the staff and the massive support of the fans it perhaps would not have happened but it was NBC who brokered the rescue and to them I'm very very grateful.......

I second that about NBC. They have acted with due consideration all round and without them no rescue deal would have happened. They will still get back £10+ million on land values for housing etc. but they could have killed the club and still done that. A Football League club is a massive asset to the town and this time NBC have done the right thing after years of thwarting the club in various ways. Credit all round to them.

I agree with your sentiment on NBC - they might have come in for some criticism (some of it hindsight) but without them we would have been lost with all hands.

I agree. I think Mary Markham and Co deserve massive recognition for their role in all this. I never imagined we'd be freed of the debt the way we have been.

He came across very well on Radio Northampton this morning. All staff will be fully paid by the end of next week. They must be relieved and delighted. Also said there may be an opportunity to segregate the away end tomorrow if more seats are required.
