James Linington in the middle for this. His last Cobblers game was in November last year, a home 2-0 win against Wimbledon.

Return of the Tozer. Let's hope that we don't get complacent with this one and their league position. It'll be good to see Holmes get some game time. Shame about Moloneys red card but hopefully we can cover this with Lelan?

Watson can also play right back. Lelan is better than Alfei but has a tendency to lose his head

The only way this week could improve would be if Holmes makes his comeback at some point in the match

Holmes Adams Potter all playing behind Rico. Leaves D'Ath and Hoskins on the bench. What a strong team that would be. RIP League Two.

With the likely fanfare of KT's arrival etc I hope we don't forget to turn up like Daggers. If Yeovil score you know it will be from a Tozer 'howitzer' assist...

This is actually a tricky game with all that's going on. The relief of things going back towards normal mustn't lead the players to think they've "finished" the job. Wilder will want avoid unnecessary changes, but we have a small defensive frailty.
- Moloney out, makes sense to drop Lelan straight in (unless the 3pm presser is for Furlong's return!) - Diamond and McDonald seemingly ill this week, one of them has to feature on Saturday, or some tactical thinking required. - Other knocks from playing Saturday/Tuesday. Rico/Byrom etc, who knows until today's team news who else.
I'd say Potter/D'Ath and Adams are being rewarded for good form, and will continue to be. In no way would I start Holmes regardless of how fit he is, a sub appearance if we are winning is clearly the route to go down to begin with as he's had no game time behind close doors?
Adams v. Tozer might be interesting to, he's been playing RB.

Watson or Taylor to play right back.
If Tozer does play right full back then hopefully it's happy days for Adams & Buchanan on the left.

Tozer has also played CM. Suspect wilder will target Ben as a weak link. Adams and Potter running at him will be a test of a player who is barely match fit

Don't quote me on this as I haven't seen much of him, but from the little I have I think Lelan is a confidence player but he's comfortably better than Alfei, just still has a lot to learn about defending. Yeovil/Northwich at home should be a perfect game to stick him in.

So looking forward to Holmes coming back. He increases the effectiveness of the other players going forward. D'Ath hasn't been the player he was last season without Holmes to bounce off.

I take your point but I'd be surprised if Wilder will let the players recent standard of professionalism drop. They've set very high standards during this period of unrest and built an impressive team spirit. Hopefully we'll have a couple of hundred or so more home fans wanting to witness the success and the atmosphere enjoyed during the last home game repeated to encourage Wilder, Knill and the players.

On the face of it this is a nailed-on victory - but football's main lure is that you never can totally predict with accuracy. Poor sides CAN and do beat good sides by all sorts of tactics and heroics, add to that a red card, a couple of lucky bounces, a one-in-a-hundred-chance error at the back and a rare top-corner swirling goal in a gusty wind and we all get a lesson in why the game is so addictive. Of course we should win, and handsomely, and of course Wilder will be giving them 100% gee-up, BUT you're never there until you're there. Should be an enjoyable afternoon from a rampant Cobblers. Should be.

Obviously I'll settle for 3 points however we get them but wouldn't it be nice to hammer someone and boost our goal difference. I always seem to be shredding my nerves at the end of a match, I want a relaxing one

Strange opinion on D'ath as the last two games he has been pretty good!

That's the last two games of about twenty so far this season. So you are agreeing he hasn't been the player he was last season. As I said, I think Holmes inclusion will raise D'Ath's game.

I am SOOOO looking forward to saturday's game. Welcome K T and the uplifting feeling that I have been given this week. When I think of the way the cobbs have played recently it does seem as if the good times are back.

No I don't agree with you on D'ath. It might be correct to say with Holmes back he or all might step up a level. Based on the last two games which I presume you saw; imo he deserves a better appraisal.
