Let's assess the evidence:

- kept us in the league when we looked absolutely dead and buried
- dodgy second season but excellent January window and we were on fire second half of the season
- more quality signings in summer
- on fire again this season, playing superb football, passing it around, counter-attacking, the lot
- team got even better when not being paid
- attitude and passion was first class when not being paid, Churchillian speeches
- got his mate to buy the club and save us from being absolutely dead and buried (financially)

So, yeah to sum up.... He's rubbish.

And has sorted our POTS elect JJOT...when he should have sold him off...absolutely terrible...

our POTS elect JJOT......

[Sorry, off topic]  Hang on, at the start of the season, our POTS elect was Adam Smith.  What's happened, have we started becoming some sort of attacking force that keeps on winning games instead of relying on a goalkeeper to stay in them?

Correct, Adam, Adam, Adam Smith isn't needed now, we might get some good money for him in January?  :-)

I would pay no attention to the odds offered on Wilder to leave. My knowledge of having worked in the betting industry. You get a punter who puts 2 and 2 together and gets 5. He throws down (for this kind of market, anything between £200-£500), the bookmakers sh!t themselves, lower the odds.

As soon as another name is mentioned we go through this process again. It happened with the Rotherham job, it happened with the Cambridge job and im pretty certain it happened with the York job. I would put money on Wilder not leaving unless it was to either Sheff Utd or possibly Barnsley (both might become available soon unfortunately)

The Burton job might appeal when/if Hasselbaink moves on.  Unique chance to train at St Georges etc.

Not necessarily unique, many clubs including ours utilise St Georges regularly.

Us visiting once a year for bit of a tour isn't quite the same as having one of the best football facilities on the planet as your primary training base though...

Hang on, you mean we don't have the best football facilities on the planet as our primary training base?

Come on KT, sort it out.

I'm suggesting having constant access to St Georges Park is a massively attractive proposition for a potential manager, didn't realise that was a controversial opinion...

I agree about the Burton concern, not sure they would go for him though.

This Chesterfield link is the same as the Rotherham, York, Cambridge, Swindon and now Walsall link.

He's doing a great job, bound to attract attention.

The thing about a club like Burton, is that they're never going to go much further than they are now. As well run as they are, they don't get the support.

I could see CW leaving for Sheff Utd but not really any others outside the championship.

This is another of those occasions where sarcasm doesn't work quite so well when written instead of spoken.

For the record, I am well aware that our training facilities are not very good.  I also don't expect KT to rectify that just one week into the job.  For a start, he's got enough on his hands sorting out the run out music.

Dear Bungles Finger - what not have a go for Aidy Boothroyd? Why should we be the only ones to suffer?

Not sure you if you are aware but (we) train at Moulton Collage most of the time! The facilities up there are fairly decent as i understand it.

I know we don't own it etc but is that really an issue?... by the way as it stands we sit joint top of the league with the same facilities we have have had for a few seasons now. when things are going bad for a manager etc its easy to pull out the "training ground card" to suit the argument.

As good as fairly decent!

Wow.

Professional club or college team?

Sorry Bungle, I/we seemed to have hijacked your thread, but no, you can't have him, he's busy.

The Saints, Leicester Tigers, Ipswich, MK Dons and West Brom use the facilities at the college alongside the Cobblers, and the Uruguay rugby team was based there for the World Cup just gone. The facilities must be alright Bingers, no? Also the England rugby league condition coach called it one of the best facilities for recovery in Europe.

And keep away from Wilder, you'd hate him

Does he? Where does he hang out?

Danny Wilson lives about half a mile from me, hence being up there with the bookies.
