Save the big boys for later! We are bound to get Sheffield United away. It is written in the stars

If we get a big team at home, would anyone want to (if we could) play it at another ground? (MK, Coventry, Gardens....just thinking what the rugby do)
Or temporary seating in the east somehow?
Or leave it as it is with just the two home stands and 1 small away allocation?
Personally I'd love to play at the gardens. Still in Northampton, even if it is a disadvantage to us, regarding familiarity.

If we were being logical then yes, lets go to stadium MK
But if cobblers fans were logical we wouldn't have raised 40k for a business that was dead and buried. Many other factors came into play, but the pride of the supporters played a part in keeping this club alive and we should hang on to that pride. Sixfields is or home !

supported the cobblers since the early 80's and as far as I can remember of the bigger teams the only three I haven't seen us play competitively (as far as I can remember) are Arsenal, Chelsea & Everton so one of those please (Liverpool (lc) Tottenham (lc) Man U (fac) Man C (league) Newcastle (fac) A Villa (lc) West Ham (lc))

If we draw one of the biggest clubs at home, with just a paltry 3500 tickets available for sale, will cause a mass scramble for places I can see many digging deep and getting a half season ticket (myself included) in order to secure a place at the game, assuming that qualifies? So lets draw a big one at home, it'll highlight the desperate need for a proper redevelopment now that our last one was given away frivolously to shysters by the hap hazard council.

Not certain why there would only be 3500 tickets available, would we not use the North stand?
Anyway.
Peterborough away or a big un away please. Fancy a trip to Villa.

I'm in London the Saturday evening so a London team away would beer nice. Failing that, if it gets moved then I'm not overly bothered. Somebody up here so I don't have to get up too early.

If we get a Prem team I'm going for:- 1.) Everton away - we've only ever played them 2 times (in 65/66 obviously) 2.) Chelsea away - we've only played them 3 times (65/66 + FAC 3rd round in Jan 65 - 50 years ago mmmmmmmm!) 3.) Arsenal away - we've played them 4 times in total and actually beat them in the FA Cup in 1958 4.) Aston Villa away - now there's an upset we could cause. It could be like The Ricoh experience all over again. We've played them 6 times last time in 1983 Mark Walters goal etc.
Obviously it could also be Dagenham & Redbridge / Whitehawk, or Salford City / Hartlepool Utd or Eastleigh away just to bring us all down to earth ..... we shall know soon enough.

51 years ago in January.

Yes, this season is our 50th anniversary of our 'Season in the Sun'...which ended with our relegation and West Ham winning the Jules Rimet...

According to my golf partner, 60 years ago his team Boston beat Northwich 3-2 and then drew Derby who were a lot bigger then. Much prefer Chelsea, Villa or Man Ure as fancy a slim chance of beating them
