We would have won - or at the very least drawn - that one with a bit more composure in the final third.
We had the better chances
Pinnock had one of his off days in the box and Appere should have done better with the 1-1.

Well despite the result Toggle Tim continues to entertain - along with getting players and decisions wrong, Reading still playing at the Madejski which is apparently in Wiltshire - and if you want to comment on the game you can contact Radio Northampton by WhatsUp............

Can't remember the last time we had 19 shots with 8 been on target and no goals.

Appere through on goal 1 on 1 with the keeper. Kicks it straight at him…
I know it was a different keeper but this was a tactic that worked very well in the game at Sixfields.

Well that was disappointing, we should have taken a point and been ahead at HT with the chances we had in the first half in which we were the better side and Moulden didn't have a shot to save. Then we produced a poor second half performance with too many misplaced passes and rarely looked like scoring. Their player took the goal well but he got away from Leonard and Pinnock far too easily.

We haven't scored in 3 of our last 4 games and need to up our game on Monday against Port Vale who having not won a game in 2024 have now won their last 2 and given themselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop and will be fighting for survival.

It was the first time this season an opposing keeper has won man of the match.

Their goalie was dope. If only Hylton had been upfront we would have blazed it.

We deserved a point yesterday the goal keeper had a blinder first half but we are own worse enemies gift the opposition a chance from a mistake and don't score when we are on top

I'm not sure about their keeper having "a blinder", other than saving the 1 on 1 with Appere and Hoskins shot (which may have come back off the post) his other saves were all pretty routine.

I think you probably had enough in you for a point there. We weren’t our usual fluent selves at home but some of that might have been you stopping us.

You’re definitely one of the better sides we’ve seen down here this season.

Good luck for the rest of the season and I’ll check in next year hopefully if we manage to stay up.

You mustn't shoot the messager, he is just letting you know the statistics, how you interpret them is up to you.

And so Reading do become the team we have lost to most in our history.
