Oh, so because you pay your money you can shout whatever you want?
If I was DA I'd be annoyed at the idiotic shouts of forward every time the team attempts to play some football.
Some fans have never played the game and have absolutely no clue, those same fans would moan if we smashed it forward and then shout "play some football Austin".
Maybe like me everyone should stay away If we play home games behind closed doors without anyone shouting ‘forwards” we will soon rocket up the league and be top by Christmas. It’s not as if the club need revenue coming in anyway, they probably haven’t even noticed the large drop in attendances and incomes as they are too busy deciding how big to make the redevelopment and how many seats to fit in

It certainly doesn't help the players - the manager saying one thing and some of the crowd shouting to do the complete opposite. Fan pressure does have an effect particularly on younger players. Last night young Jay Williams gave the ball away and someone shouted "for Christ sake". He's 17 years old, it was his first competitive game.

I actually moved from the West to the North where it's a bit better for the moronic FOOORWARD screams. Instead, I now hear the very dated (and sexist); "she fell over!!" from the old guy almost directly behind me whenever an opposition player falls over. And last Saturday a few fans chanted the also very dated and homophobic chant; "(insert keepers name) Takes it up the a*se!" when he was taking ages over a goal kick.
Can't win.

Here's a revolutionary thought, we could play passing football, on the ground in a forward direction!! I understand what people are saying on here. And the shouts are often moronic. But our game management is quite poor at the moment and we are often choosing the long balls when its not required (early in the game, at 0-0) and then choosing to pass across the back four, back to keeper and across the back four again at 1-0 down in the 80+ minutes. That's what frustrates me. There is a time and a place for different types of football. i am just not sure we are utilising them in the right situations.

I take it people who have posted on this thread have never shouted something ridiculous out of pure frustration?

Every time we pass the ball square and near to our penalty box I give an involuntary shreak of agonised anguish. How about you Ron ?

I don't think it's about shouting the odd thing out of frustration now and then.More about the same numpties shouting the same annoying thing every home game.

The blinkered fans on the back row of the West Stand around the seat 45 mark really got on my nerves for berating the match officials every single game. Offside when the ball never even reached the opposing forward, crying because the opposing team pinched a few yards at a throw, slagging the ref off for blowing for fouls against us.......but conveniently forgetting every decision, every few yards stolen, every bit of time-wasting that we do.

I have sat in the east stand for a few games over the last couple of seasons including the Cambridge game this season ever time there has been a family in there that spent the whole game shouting get into them, close them down for the whole duration of the game no matter where the ball is, this is so irritating I would not like to be sat near them every home game.

You just can’t find that eclectic mix of Political Corretness, Socialism, and the Far left at football match’s that your looking for, perhaps go to a momentum meeting instead of the footy.

Good to see you are now an active recruiter for the momentum movement. Do your angry friends know that you have turned?

I'm surprised you can even see the game when you are with your mates, what with all those white hoods blocking the view.

I sit West Upper towards the South but not amongst the singers, there's a young chap with a beard with the loudest clap I've ever heard and will always shout 'sake' when something goes wrong (quite often).

I must confess that on the odd occasion in life when my wife slips, I always serenade her with a short chorus of 'she fell over'. Its guaranteed to amuse me, and that frankly is all that matters
