Absoultely. What is this sh*t. When we go away to teams who have won five of the last six with our only three recognised strikers out injured then we should be demanding 5 goal winning margins as an absolute minimum. Sammo out.

 

There have been defeats this season where you could obviously lay the blame at Sampson and Crosby's door but today's isn't one of them. Take the three main strikers out of any team at this level and they'd be struggling. But that's a situation the club is working on and can be seen to be tackling proactively. I'm still feeling quite upbeat about our chances of at least a top half finish- Gillingham have been hammering teams left, right and centre in recent weeks and we were by no means hammered today.

To be fair, tactical imagination is all good and fine, but this isn't football manager 2010, and there isn't a 'game breaking super tactic' out there that's going to make us score seven goals every game. If you try something like that and it fails, then you look like an utter moron. Holty upfront is as creative as Sammo should really be getting. You'd either have to have been at another club and seen the formation working well before hand, or be a bungee-jumping gambling swashbuckler to try something so unorthodox at a very tricky game. Those aren't Sammo traits.

Despite the injuries to our strikers, I don't understand why Sammo has gone for Holt up front, surely Osman would have been a better bet.

Come to think of it, I don't really understand why he puts Holt Left Midfield and Davis behind him.
