As we seem to possibly prematurely talk of partying...our penultimate away game is at Yeovil on St George's Day. Weymouth is just a 40 min train ride from Yeovil and a great place for a weekend break!
Think a few might already have this in mind!

Was thinking Taunton for overnighter but Weymouth is a great place.
Also get to have a dip in the old sea.

Weymouth is a well sorted place...was in Taunton last year and seemed bit of a dump tbf. Saying that, was only there for an hour or so!

Didn't think of Weymouth. We have already booked up to stay in Yeovil for the Saturday night.

Weymouth is beautiful, the harbour, the boozers and it's almost like the EU forgot to send refugees there too.....it's England as it used to be.

I'm well up for this.....

What we need now is some guidance. For those of us who have managed to survive a significant number of years, but are yet to acquire the skills necessary to locate a decent pub. Perhaps someone could also assuage the torment my errant taste buds have suffered, whilst trying to pinpoint a particular alcoholic beverage that I could enjoy.

Where could we find such a man?

😁😁

Jilly Goolden, she guzzles it down. But you're in need of a man I see  Undecided

Idiot.

To be fair to Glen, you can not exactly claim that immigration has improved other seaside resorts. I would say that them arriving has made those areas considerably poorer as a result because they all rely on the tourist trade to provide jobs and an increase in population (especially out of season) has been a real strain on many coastal economies. Obviously causing many negative knock on effects.

Admittedly his choice of wording was a little 'right wing' though  Grin

His original "point" (and that's a stretch) was about refugees, absolutely nothing to do with immigration.

He didn't seem to want refugees to spoil seaside towns! It was a link to show just why they are leaving. Try reading it yourself you may well just get why they need our help.

Idiot.

Do expand, your eloquent response was limited.
I merely felt that in my opinion, it feels old school seaside. Very British. Not Bulgarian/Syrian/Somalian/Ukranian/Morrocan or any other nation you may choose to add in. Don't tell me that old school Britain looks and feels the same because it doesn't.

Maybe I should have described it as a colourful explosion of thoroughly Victorian Britishness with it's seaside huts, quaint harbour and candy floss....

If you choose my statement of the beauty of Weymouth to offensive, then PC overkill has got you.

If that's tongue in cheek I'm laughing, if it's an accusation, I'm still laughing.
Racist I am not....

Fuck all to do with being PC and you know it! Go and buy a time machine and live in the past or alternatively you can make the best of the time you are given in the here and now.
