It's good to see that opposing fans and manager can take loosing on the chin and congratulate the winners, credit to them and I echo the hope that they pick themselves up and get promoted. Take note Oxford

Holmes goal - one of the best I have ever seen! Boring 1st half only because we never really got going, but we did have chances. Smith rarely troubled. The second half as you all know was a different kettle of fish. They had quite a bit of pressure for 15 mins and thought we looked dangerous in counter attacks. Then came McDonalds goal which got us all on our feet and got blood flowing thru frozen limbs! JJOT oozed class and Rose began to get into the game with some perky challenges. In the first half he was constantly buffeted on the ball and his diminutive size meant he lost most headers. TBH i would have brought D'ath on but Rose settled in well. Maloney was good as was Buchanan ; Rodney and Diamond in total command.. well almost! When we had gone 2-0 up they had two good chances and could have easily scored on another day! Not sure about the marking, particularly for the first chance. All the front runners played well - Martin was direct and fast. Holmes played very well, JJOT impressive and looked a class apart from most on the pitch. Richards did ok and kept their defence continually on its toes. Collins is a class finisher, scrambled a poachers goal and his second was sublime and in some ways rivaled Holmes goal. D'ath proved an excellent sub played well and his speed made the 4th goal. If we play like this at Oxford then we will turn them over! Support was magnificent , aggressive, positive and full of dead pan humorous chanting. Loved it. Never seen so many happy faces on the way out!

Their ball across the box in the second half with Nolan and another sliding in would have been disallowed, they were both offside...

There is just one flaw in your reasoning there - you assume that the officials were competent enough to get the decision right. Based on the fact that we didn't get a free kick in the first 37 minutes of the game, and all officials were intent on giving Orient every 50/50 challenge. That's a dangerous assumption to make!

So the flag was up?
Might not have been up, they like to wait until someone has touched it to keep the play flowing. although there is no way you could argue that they were not active.

Right, but if the flag wasn't up already, then my original point still stands, there is an assumption that the officials would have got the decision right
