Took my 3 youngest to see Peter Rabbit at the weekend. Our local cinema over here has fully reclining leatherette seats (I’m not making it up). Sort of like one of those Lazyboy jobs but better. Anyroad, I usually manage a 40 minute snooze at the very least during the kids films, but this one kept me awake for the full picture. Actually pretty good.

Not necessarily a film, but am currently watching the "Lost In Space" reboot on Netflix having loved the original series.
It is gorgeous to look at, has the feel of a big budget movie just without the expectation.
Have watched the first three episodes, and the "new" Zachary Smith is just as caniving and annoying as the old one.

The new Star Wars film Solo, was a lot better than I anticipated and certainly doesn't deserve the bad press it is getting.
It is the most "Star Wars like" of the new films, and other than some slightly dodgy casting is quite good fun and I certainly enjoyed it.
Woody Harrelson is a revelation lately, he is great in this as well as his roles in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and War for the Planet of the Apes last year.

Well, took the junior Mellys to see Small Foot. Another film voiced by the getting slightly over exposed James Corden. Started fairly well with a few funny moments. Fell asleep for about 15 minutes after my pick and mix, but other than that it was ok. Not totally one to avoid as a parent and leave up to the wife. Although there was a couple of pointless and irritating songs to endure, including one from Mr Corden which was woeful and made my ears vomit.

Saw bohemian rhapsody last night, imo it's a must see. Never been a Queen fan , but fantastic story with a brilliant performance for the lead. On the other hand also saw Hunter Killer this week, that's 2 1/2 hours of my life I'll never get back 🤦♂️

Just watched Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (released on NETFLIX today) For those of the age to have enjoyed the originals, a good watch, with lots of references to the first one...

Watched Shadow in the Cloud last night whilst channel hopping, ended up watching to the end. Not the genre that I would normally watch and it was a thin storyline but it had me hooked to the conclusion.

Personally I'd give Deadpool and Wolverine a swerve - it's a two hour gag reel stretched very thinly very thinly over a negligible plot structure.
