I here that 'being arrogant' has been redefined recently. It's now known 'being Oxford'  Grin

Jeez!! Just imagine how the content of this thread would look their board....

To be honest though, I think they're better equipped for L1 than us. And they play better football, so I'd prefer to be in their position than ours.

We can reach the 100 pts mark if the team keep up the current standard.. maybe break the record of 106..!

Records have already started tumbling (yesterday's club record of 9 consecutive league wins the latest to fall) but 2 huge records are starting to loom on the horizon...

Consecutive away league wins in a season & consecutive league wins in a season. I believe they are 10 & 14 respectively..

Now that would be something seriously special !!!!!

Anyone want to take a guess at the following:

What game will we win promotion?

What game we will be crowned champions?

When will we be presented with the League 2 trophy?

What date will the open top bus parade be on?

Will Portsmouth give our players a guard of honour?

How many NTFC players will make the League 2 team of the year?

Wouldn't Holmes be in your League 2 team of the year ? because he would mine.

Holmes would be in mine from what I've seen, but it will be interesting to see how they select it. If they stick to positions it'll probably be a fight between Holmes and Kemar Roofe for the LM spot. Historically I don't think they strictly stick to positions though.

I think the PFA votes are usually made ridiculously early, so Holmes will be unlikely to make it, as he missed half of the season.

I would love us to get to the magical 100 point mark. Then we can finally move on from the all conquering 86/87 side, knowing that we had just witnessed seeing a squad of players that somehow managed to better the achievements of a 'once in a lifetime' team. During a season where we almost failed to exist.

Not that it makes any difference whatsoever, but I've broken the season into 3 blocks of 5 games  Grin 10 points needed in each block. God its sad, the analytical work I carry out on our football clubs behalf!

Aim for 100 points boys. Beat the record. Take the p1ss.

Why on earth would anyone want to do that? Seems like OCD to me. (Oxford's Crap Decisions?)

Yeah I think you're right. For some reason, footballers haven't learnt about online voting yet so they still have to hand their votes in to the PFA Rep in the team and I think it's around Christmas.

Thankfully not quite that bad any more.  Last year the votes started in late March, only skipping about 6 weeks off the end of the season.

Still plenty of time for Rod to make his late surge into the Team of the Year.....

I had a thought over the weekend, what would happen if you bet £10 on a Cobblers win back at the start of our run vs Accrington and reinvested the winnings into the next bet (and repeat for all our 9 game winning streak).

http://www.oddsportal.com/search/results/:l4P6dwRR/

Using oddsportal, you'd currently be the proud owner of an impressive £14,390.36 from that tenner.

Pointless, I know!
