The chance to get 100 points doesn't come round too often for most clubs so it would be fantastic to achieve that.

This is a good read when looking at our expectations now.

That's a great bit of cv boosting:

"Having started his career at Chelmsford City, Holmes has gone onto become a Football League regular,
representing twice FA Cup winners Portsmouth, play under Netherlands and Juventus legend Edgar Davids and
even play for his country on the international stage."

How about adding: "He then went on to join former top division club, Northampton Town which featured international players such as Phil Neal and Ron Flowers."

I may be wrong but isn't one 'in awe' of someone, not 'in aura?'

Its at times like this I start wishing I hadn't started the thread in the first place, because after the 2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers, I'm not sure we're going to achieve either target.

For the record 12 more points required from 5 games (2 at home / 3 away), so realistically we need 4 wins out of the 5 games, and in terms of goals there's 11 more required.

I'm sure you'll all agree that getting promotion and then becoming the champions is the priority, but wouldn't it have been nice to get these 2 records of achievement this year ...... no matter I guess.

We might get the 100 goals but 100 points is unlikely. We will end up on 99. Smiley

Facking thick is the correct answer.

77 league goals and 92 points with three to play
We now need to win all three to achieve the 100 points.
7 of our last 11 matches have been draws, unfortunately that's where we have failed to reach the three figures as it was well within our grasp.
Didn't someone get replaced for having too many draws?

91 goals in all competitions.

Win the last 3 games 3-0 a piece and we're there. Easy.

So if we converted the wins/draws in all competitions to points we would be well above 100 points as well? Easy...

Quite glad that this team will not beat the Carr team from the eighties.
That team was exceptional and THAT was a once in a lifetime team 99points and 103 goals (50 goals achieved on December 6th).
This team has run them close and from the adversity that triggered the run off it is a fantastic team but maybe, just, not quite as good.

This team is not as good as Carr's. Better squad, but not as good an eleven. We only have one genuine striker to call our own, something which will need to change.
