Apparently it is fathers day soon, that will do nicely, so I've just ordered it for myself.

I have just read through my copy which arrived this weekend. I haven't found any typos or spelling mistakes but there is a monumental factual error on page 3 which I apologise for. I dedicated the book to:
the memory of all the heroes sung or unsung of Northampton Town, throughout its one hundred and nine year history, including AJ Pat Darnell, Herbert Chapman, Edwin Lloyd Davies, Dave Bowen, Cliff Holton, Jack English, Tommy Fowler and Brian Lomax.
Not sure how I managed that as my maths is usually decent. Perhaps there were ten years somewhere which I wanted to forget.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. The worry with print on a shoestring and limited time is that errors slip through - the important thing is that you got it done. I have two on the way, hopefully!

Jefferson Lake:
"Gareth Willsher's piece is excellent - genuine behind-the-scenes insight which I think lots of supporters will want to read. You just don't see stuff like that in print much these days (if ever)."

I've been contacted by a few people about fluctuating prices for the book, so rather than writing back to each individual, here is the explanation. The Year of the Cobbler is a 'print-on-demand' book. That means that at both Lulu and Amazon a copy of the book is created the minute someone orders it. At Lulu the price is constant (£6.99), although they run reductions or free delivery offers every few weeks so it is worth waiting for these. Amazon, however, alter the price without asking the author. If a book isn't selling, they lower the price. However, when it does sell they increase the price. With 450 copies sold in the first week, they put the price up yesterday to £9.20. I complained via e-mail and they reduced it to £7.99. However, if you are happy to wait for their slower delivery, the Lulu book is better quality binding and cheaper. I hope this explains the situation. I have placed the book at the cheapest possible price.
