That is a bite right there.
I know, I know. It was the "No 1 fan" bit that really did the business.

Jeez...
Early season, we play well and lose - moan.
Most agreed that we'd rather play crap and win than the above. Yes?
Eventually it becomes the case that we start playing crap and win... still can't please some...
This season, we WON'T get both... yes, my expectations have lowered, but (no football cliche intended) we can only beat what is put in front of us.

Hopefully we can do the same against Cheltenham although I fear we'll get found out by the better teams (as seen at Crewe)

I am not all interested in your morbid posts , stalking etc - you clearly flatter yourself. You just happen to post "loud mouthed" self opinionated judgemental messages on a frequent basis. So it is easy to notice them. Slow down and give yr ar**e a chance.

I want him to list the 'etc etc' teams! Of our 23 opponents in that division, 13 now play at a higher level than we do, Colchester being one of them. If you look at the small list I provided, there is nobody in our current league that can even get close to a Preston, Wolves, Swansea, Cardiff or Burnley. You know I find it really sad that people like you Drilling, Banana, Karl and everbrite who all "claim" to be Cobblers supporters could ever try to justify their opinion by demeaning and cheapening what was one of the finest achievements in the Cobblers entire history. You should all be ashamed.

Evers did not criticize GC achievements - its just you missed out Richard Hill - who was not pretty at all, at least he deseves a mention after all he was our finest player. You will never make a sniper as you always miss the point. Stick to sardonic wit mate - its better for all of us.

Sorry you are unable how to work out the quote button everbrite (now there's a misnomer if ever there was one) but all you mentioned was Rambo Reed and like others have said all the best sides have the odd bit of steel here and there, it's essential. Richard Hill was a fine player, you don't score over 30 goials from midfield without having a little bit of talent somewhere in the mix. Physically he may not have been pretty but some of his goals were things of beauty!

I agree with Marvo. There was some great attacking football played that season, and unfortunately we've not had a season that's come anywhere near in terms of such domination since. Although I was very young during that season, I still have my original copy of Rising to the top on VHS and remember quite a lot of the games that I attended that season. Although I was only 6 at the time, it's what started my love affair with the tayn. Great memories!

Thanks for apologies Marvo - (now there's a misnomer if ever there was one). I mentioned several players plus an ETC. For the record I dont like any Cobblers side being called pretty! . Direct, Forceful, Clever or even "beautiful" - , perhaps you have been watching too many Ladies Games.

Here's a stat from the Cobblers Championship side of 86/7.
Did you know we conceded the same amount of goals (53) in that season as we did last season?
Now THAT'S entertainment!
Note: No I don't know whether it's from the Latin or Greek and frankly I don't care. I do know what it means though and from your example you clearly do not!

Don't you think the fans of those big clubs would view that season as one of the s***test ever? Just a thought, they were hardly at their prime were they?

Here goes the self appointed No 1 Cobblers fan again (he starts all the songs you know) . Our greatest ever season (results wise) and it was nothing to do with how good we were, it was just everybody else was s***e. and you complain about other Cobblers fans.......
