I suspect it's more than likely because they can't be purchased online and telephone is seen as an archaic method of purchase for anything by most consumers.

To purchase online, you have to be on the database...so no!

Would like to see McDonald come in for Prosser for this one. The latter doesnt fill me with any confidence whatsoever and i am glad he is only here on loan. Dont get me wrong, he is ok, but got found out badly at stevenage.

Also think Lawson deserves a start ahead of Adams who seems to have gone off the boil. Hope you are reading this Chrissy W !  Grin

You are missing the point. That's fine if you have a determination to get in...we all know how, hence me getting into the home end for Cheltenham for the playoffs. We are talking about floaters (as clearly already mentioned) that are far less likely to go through the process of registering etc, and might just want to roll up on the day!
Imagine anyone thinking, I fancy watching Champions elect at the King Power...no chance, or so they'd imagine. Our very restricted capacity will have exactly the same effect!

Absolutely. The psychology of a regular determined fan is very different to that of a curious potential customer. Many here cannot understand why people don't want to jump through hoops to come and watch. They wont. You cant open a shop and just expect people to walk in the door without a carefully targeted promotion and building awareness.

The "well it's not full anyway" brigade totally miss the point about promoting the club and making it easier to come and watch. I'm not talking about a wet Tuesday in February against Morecambe either. We could be at home first game of next season to Coventry or Bolton, very different propositions where again we'll "sell out" albeit a 1-200 or so short of actual capacity yet with a 10-12k capacity we could well be a lot closer to that figure.

I'm afraid Sixfields has always stunted the clubs growth just as the CG did. If we had a more suitable stadium, enough revenue may have been gathered during our last successful years in league one to of saved us from the disastrous and incompetent DC era.

At least KT has the perfect chance now with this success to right the wrongs. Suitable accommodation to entice long term commercial revenue and a few more thousand seats somewhere to tell the Northampton public "Come on down, you'll get in!"

Are these bvggers following us around the country?  Stevenage last weekend, Sixfields on Friday:

http://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/article/northampton-town-v-newport-county-3022009.aspx

I don't understand why NBC cannot open up one of the car parks down Walter Tull Way which allows traffic to get away down St James Mill Road.

You're unlikely to run out of other people's money. So hypothesise away, to your heart content.

That's very true Tel, but fortunately I spend other peoples money very effectively every day on building projects a lot grander!

Expanding Sixfields slightly to capitalise on this success and to enable greater financial security is not the cavernous leap you might think, but as you say it's not our job to hypothesise on how KT hypothesises on how to spend other peoples money.

Shame that as it sort of kills all conversation on buying, selling and paying for players too. After all it's not our money.

Isn't that what the likes of Winkleman did to get MK into the strong position they find themselves?

Investment comes in all shapes and sizes.

Milton Keynes and Northampton have virtually identical populations. Considering the number of people that relocate to MK compared to those that are Northampton born and bred it's ridiculous that The Cobblers are below MK.

Just thought I 'd check to see how many fans they took to Pompey the other week. 386 hardy souls for a decent Saturday fixture. Probably looking at 250 tomorrow. Maybe our NTFC south stand contingent can sing a few songs for them  Grin

ntfc twitter feed now reports they have moved "to the next block of seats".......assuming that means more than 30 left.......Newport were originally allocated 500, I'd guess they are returning plenty!

So do we start Rico or will he be on the bench?  If he starts, who is it in place of?

How about we don't bother with a keeper and have a third striker instead?

I'd be surprised, not shocked though, if he started. Expect a cameo, we'll need him proper match for and on his game for Rovers. That match concerns me.
