For anyone who has ever questioned the fairness or accuracy of the POTS sytem for measuring player of the year - look at the top four names on this list, and look at Football League / League Two team of the year nominations from our squad. Top three all got included in one or the other, and Buchanan's absence from either was controversial enough that Wilder pointed it out in an interview that ended up in the Chron. Whatever your viewpoint, those are the four outstanding candidates for player of the season, and they're all up there.

Although, Richards was named in the list of League Two's top 15 players and sits 4th from bottom of this table.

There have been some seasons that I have been surprised that Balding hasn't made it into the PFA team of the year, but this year she really has had a shocker. I can't see her being retained. Released and drifting off into non-league obscurity I'm afraid Clare.

Buchanan or JJOT.
However, had Hoskins been able to hit a cows backside, he'd he won it at a canter, such a busy player, and a pain to defend against... except he can't finish. 5 decent opportunities, 1 on target I think!

Danny Rose
Probably would have gone for Lelan but the yellow card challenge looked pretty nasty to me and caused a serious-looking injury. Thought he was outstanding besides that.

Really? Thought he was well below his usual standards today.

Lelan.
He showed maturity to put Danny Green's injury behind him and get on with the game. The tackle occurred in front of where I was sitting. It was a 50-50 tackle that Green could also have been booked for has he not got so badly injured. The noise was made when lelan's foot hit Green's chest due to the momentum. Good solid tackle by both players not willing to back out.
