Again??
I presume it's a reference to him having appointed Wilder at Oxford.

Again??
I had to read it twice, I think he is referring to the 'welcome', that he again (as well as others) is welcoming him?

Welcome Rob. I think it's a shrewd appointment. Has the summer to bed in make the necessary tweaks so looking forward to seeing his style in L1.
The constraints he had at Vale in the season just gone, and the further constraints that would be placed upon Vale's budget for 2016-17, might also be a factor in his decision.
Rather than it be a "size of club" argument, maybe Northampton is just a better opportunity at this point in time...

Very happy with the appointment & it ticks the right boxes for me - understated, but experienced and progressing - my biggest fear was a "B" list name.
Despite some occasional ridiculous negative comments about KT I don't think anyone with a modicum of respect & reality would deny this chairman has got so much right in just 7 months of tenure.

Cobblerwatch, this chairman is light years better than the last that's for sure. Although I am still confused about his motivation to be @ NTFC and his short, medium terms goals for us as a club, he's obviously told Rob Page so why not tell the fans?

Maybe because he does not want abuse shouted at him at the first set back

His ability to make a bit when/if he decides to sell on will be determined by the success on the park, does he have to confirm that he is attempting to achieve the same as we desire but for slightly different reasons?

That's because we've just won the league. It's other teams that had to worry about not losing.
Sometimes it's difficult on here.

Is that Rob Page twitter account legit? I'd usually assume no but the club have retweeted it...

My guess, which is pretty much without foundation, is that this is a hard-headed commercial venture within a field that he knows and enjoys. I believe he's mentioned a figure of 5 years? I reckon he's aiming to get to the championship and then flog the club at a decent profit, perhaps to an overseas owner. A bit like Bournemouth. In the unlikely event of me being right, KT's plan is fine by me.

Thanks For that Kelvin, polishing up what we have is all well and good but for me I would like to see a lot more of our future business building plans, conference centre, hotel, fitting out that shell of an East stand and if you intend to attract investment to lay any bricks at the ground? Previously supposedly short term investors leave us a lot worse off decades later, when they up sticks and leave.

Sometimes it's difficult on here. [/quote That may not of been the same when we reached L1, better strikers, better defences ect, IE. If the gunners defended better they would win the premership.

Now i like this appointment. I am so glad that we have taken a young hungry manager who was already in a job when it could have been so easy to get in an out of work manager.
We as a club could not be in a better position for next season, most of the players have a year or so left which is a massive bonus for Page.I believe with one or two quality signings there is no reason why we cant realistically match or better what Port Vale did last season.
Well done K.T and crew.
