Looks like KT is hopeful of securing a short/medium term solution for a full time training facility in the next week or so.
Says on YouTube that this would be for 2/3 years whilst search for potential locations for building a permanent training ground goes on.

Why can't the club by back the land they had to give back to the council? As I remember it was unfit for housing but would be ideal as a training facility next to the stadium. I

"BY back the land" might help in drawing a conclusion!

Sorry for being thick. I was under the impression we would have to buy land for a training ground wherever it may be. I didn't know KT was getting given a prime piece of real estate for nothing!! Please tell me how and when KT is going to build a training facility without spending any money.

Short term will probably be an existing facility like ONs etc. Just needs to have 2 usable pitches to rotate and somewhere to change as a minimum.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

While places like Moulton etc exist we won't get a training ground any time soon.

KT said he didn't want the players training at Sixfields. He wants them to come to matchday as a special experience.

That's an interesting possibility. The sports pitches there are half owned by the council and half by the police. I believe though that a chunk of the field will have the temporary school buildings on for a couple of years but there's still probably enough room for the cobblers to use.

The Police are moving from there soon so could make way for Cobblers to rent alongside the council.

What's dumb is the fact that we have been a professional football club for over a hundred years and have not got a training ground. Things such as this make us less attractive to potential signings who can go for talks elsewhere and see decent stadiums with state of the art training facilities. As it is we have an unfinished stadium and a field to run around! Hardly inspiring if as a club we are aspiring to move up the leagues. We now have a chairman who seems to be moving us forward so it will be interesting to see how we start next season as regards the stadium and a training ground.
