Thought he deserves his own thread. Happy with this signing, seems quite similar to Rico and we lose a lot in terms of his link up play when he's not available. Not sure how much better we could have done.

Welcome and good luck

Looks like he turned down offers at Sheff Utd and MK Donkeys to come here as well, promising signs! Welcome Alex, a few goals like the one that made Steve Evans nearly lose his trousers at Wembley please (without the Steve Evans bit obviously).

Yeah I'm happy.  Some people don't think his goal record is good enough but he has played a lot in the championship and league one.  We often sign players with a record like this who have only played in league two.  Plus I doubt that he's being signed as our number one goalscorer.

The good news is that despite his size he still works seriously hard around the pitch. When we had Sir Clive here he was so immobile that it had a massive impact on the way we played. Welcome Alex.

A player who has played nearly 500 games in the Champioship and League 1 only does that because he is bl**dy good at his job!

It is now even more important that we make a marquee signing who is a striker with pace and potential...............personally I hope for Matt Green at Mansfield.

Very happy with this signing! Interesting to see how Page is looking to utilise his attacking options next season. I strongly doubt Revell would have signed to be second fiddle?

I bloody hope we sign another forward. One striker is 33 the other 34 the third is only four foot tall  Cheesy we need better than that.

I doubt it with his injury record!

Its quite interesting to read on Blades Forum that a few are surprised that Revell has joined us - quite a few think he is a good signing for us but majority see him as an impact sub as they have no big man up front! Looks like we have stolen a march on CW!

I'm pretty happy with this signing. Experienced competition for places and will keep Richards on his toes. Also means that we're not significantly weaker when he inevitably gets injured.

Excellent signing. He's played regularly at the top end of league 1 / Championship for a reason. Bet it was the 2 year deal that clinched it

I think Richards and Revell will play 60/30 minutes matches except when they play occasionally together, dependant on the opposition.
