Zak needs surgery and will be out for two months. Very unfortunate start for both Zak and Rob Page.

Feel for Jak, hopefully he'll come back stronger.

I'm sure this was half expected by Page after Jaks medical. A blow nevertheless.

How could an impact injury be expected?

Seems the Jak McCourt injury isn't as bad as first feared...no surgery required!  Smiley

I wonder if they are breaking that news because they haven't got any one else in for the Wolves friendly.  Tongue

Does anybody else on here feel that we are maybe gambling with Jak McCourt's fitness? Rob Page was quoted as saying "we've decided not to go down the surgery route". I hope it is the right decision as I'm looking forward to seeing the 2 terrier like players of McCourt and Beautyman in action.

Yes I thought that too. I'm hoping the med advice was good and so.id and not leant on by circumstances.
He's a decent player and could be really popular here I think.

Genuine question. What makes you say he's a good player?

I've done some research via Radio Northampton and Jak McCourt was highly rated at Barnsley. I think had they not been promoted he would have stayed there. So looks to potentially be a good player for our division.

Watched him at Sileby. Got around the pitch well involved in everything, and didn't he get injured making a last ditch interception v Nuneaton?
The lad looks to be highly committed and we will need that this season.

I just struggle to get beyond the fact he's only ever made 3 sub appearances at League One level at the age of 21 and yet to score a professional goal. By all means, he could prove himself to be another D'ath - but I fully expect him to be here as a squad player.
