About as bad as I can remember - Rooney was pretty awful and should have been substituted much earlier. Smith better than Hart. England had nobody with the drive and skill of Holmes. In fact the Cobblers could have done a lot better tonight and probably would have won it!

imo

In terms of passing the ball, and controlling the ball, and crossing the ball I don't think I've seen a worse performance ever watching a game, at any level. Tactically non league teams have more of an idea.

I am 72 years old now and I have to say that was the worst 'performance I have ever seen, The USA beat us, It was 1957 I think, but it may of been 1959, I didn't see that, but what I read about he game, it was still better than last nights effort, or I should say 'lack of effort'

It was at the 1950 World Cup, we had world class players back then though...

It was certainly the worst England performance I've seen (and that's really saying something!). Rooney was absolutely shocking in the second half. He couldn't even complete the simplest of chances. And at some point someone should have taken the decision to abandon using Kane for set pieces because, and even putting aside the fact he'd have been better utilized in the box, his delivery was atrocious. As for Hart, he flaps like the pigeon sitting on my lawn.

Cobblers related ?  Huh?

Well I always thought it weird, that he got the job in the first place.

He didn't appear to have much knowledge about how to stop the Cobblers beating Liverpool 4-2 at Anfield??

In most jobs, you tend to look at past experiences, to see if they are fit for the job.

Watching the game last night, reminded me of that night at Pool!!

Maybe I'm the odd one out here but i thought first half we were OK and expected us to go on and win it. Second half we slowly deteriorated, Rooney and Kane were bad. England would probably have beaten us about 6-0.

England would have struggled to beat any team with a bit of organisation last night.

Iceland's first goal reminded me of Tozer tossing it in the mixer for Bayo to compete for. Strange our highly paid Premier League stars could not defend against that.

No, England, their football was on a different level to anything we're capable of, much as I love us.
