poor attitude
suspect that's been cast out there for me to bite on!
OK
Well guess what there IS more to life than football.
And it has become more and more about the whole day for me. So yes I can afford the £20 plus ticket price and more but I prefer to get more from the day visit a new town, new pubs try new beers.
Living in Leicester I even tried that when my one game a month fell on a home date. Going to Phipps, Princess Alex, Garibaldi etc.
Oh and BTW Evers to bite a bit deeper I have more than paid my dues over the years... So as long as I can get tickets I will pick and choose thanks.
And by trudging to Sixfields I mean exactly that.People who renew season tickets every year, go every week without question and without thinking I would suggest that they took a step back a minute.

You completely missed the point - the highlighted parts are merely examples of your attitude. As for your other reasons - fine , its your money etc and choice.

I only attended one home game last season which we lost so I didn't dare come back again! It worked.
I am intending to be at the Donkeys home match now it's on a Sunday, should I be there or should I stay at home and watch on the TV?

Take a step back from doing something i enjoy doing every Saturday, no thanks.

On an unrelated note, it does surprise me how some of the most vocal members on here don't actually attend that many matches...

Strikes me they missed a trick. They may well have sold more season tickets if this price rise for matchday tickets was communicated earlier

Vocal?  Do you mean me?
I have an excuse, however I did attend 10 (I think) away games last term.

Too true. Supporters would be saving the better part of 2 extra games as well as the saving already incorporated into the ST.

It wasn't meant as a personal attack, merely an observation. Your post count on here is 7868 at the time of writing, so i guess you are an example of what i meant, yes.

I attended 40+ games last season, but not so vocal on here. I have seen many of the other posters with ridiculously high post counts often mention that they have not attended sixfields since X date or do not plan to until y date, or reason. It just surprises me, that's all.

The high post count comes with the job.
I would attend more if I could but...

Well thats fine. I just found I wasn't enjoying it as much so I go every so often. It suits me and it suits you to go every week. Last season I attended more because At points I didn't know if some games were our last. Then later I just wanted to witness a bit more of an incerdible team (made a couple of bad choices Cambridge at home, Hartlepool away, Yeovil away but balanced with Pompeye away which was so memorable).
I just think some (most) clubs trade on fans attending all games and take that fact very much for granted.

He was commentating on a situation, you were commentating on how someone should/shouldn't run their own life. There is a big difference.

I voiced my opinion (about the same situation, actually), just like they did - Absolutly no different.

Just because you don't like my opinion doesn't make it any less valid or me any less entitled to make that comment, just as me not liking his opinion doesn't make his any less valid.

Big difference between Plymouth and Leicester for attending home games!

So he's entitled to his opinion, but I am not? Sounds like someone else should get their head out their ass.

Look up hypocrisy.
Opinions yes, but your inference was suggesting another fan wasn't up to being a 'fan' if not ready to part with £24! 'Only £2' also misses the point somewhat. It's not the £2 increase that grates ( nationally, not just the Cobbs) but the chunk of the remaining £22 that is the issue, especially when comparing prices in Germany, Italy, Spain et-al!

Great argument comparing our prices with Germany etc. You can only compare our prices with other L1 clubs otherwise your argument falls apart.

Of course it doesn't. Compare the cost of watching top flight football in many European countries (Germany included) and you'll see just how much the punters are being screwed over in the English (British?) game. Coolcat wasn't talking about the Cobblers insomuch it's the whole set-up of football over here that's flawed.

German fans laugh their heads of at our ticket prices and general poor attitude to fans in the UK. Part of it comes from an 'I'm alright Jack' attitude and an almost complete lack of solidarity from the people that are most exploited. Funnily enough a problem which wider society is dealing with.

I believe some tickets are available in Germany which also include public transport in that city for the whole day. In this country we are so far off that scenario it is unreal.

Why are you representing Coolcat? Are you one of the same? How do you assume that you that can interpretate accurately what Coolcat is saying.
