Why are you representing Coolcat? Are you one of the same? How do you assume that you that can interpretate accurately what Coolcat is saying.
Because, unlike yourself, I actually took the time to read the words he wrote

Opinions yes, but your inference was suggesting another fan wasn't up to being a 'fan' if not ready to part with £24! 'Only £2' also misses the point somewhat. It's not the £2 increase that grates ( nationally, not just the Cobbs) but the chunk of the remaining £22 that is the issue, especially when comparing prices in Germany, Italy, Spain et-al!
No it wasn't - I didn't mention anything about being up to being a fan. I said, If they are annoyed at £2 increase when we've gone up a division, and £2 is now "too expensive" the they likely should be spending there money elsewhere - that's my opinion, and again, just because you don't like it doesn't make it any different - it's still perfectly valid. Also please note, we don't live in Germany, Italy or Spain. Just incase you we're confused ;-) please stop taking things out of context.

I believe some tickets are available in Germany which also include public transport in that city for the whole day. In this country we are so far off that scenario it is unreal.
This is true Pattcobb 51% fan ownership, standing, free public transport, beer on the terraces, all things that the fans stick up for in Germany and the clubs allow in the true sense of 'football without fans is nothing'. Over here the argument is 'can't afford it don't go' and some see paying over the odds as some sort of badge of honour or test of loyalty. Back to the Cobblers surely it is futile doing a lot of community work and and then them being put off by ticket prices that are unrealistic considering the financial climate? Oh yeah one last thing: poor people? remember them, football clubs as a representation of the wider community should have a responsibility to make sure that the poor and working poor aren't priced out. It's not the affluent that create culture so remember that when asking why football stadiums have no atmosphere or edge any more.

Maybe you could offer a reduced price period but only in advance of releasing tickets to away clubs so parity of cost is avoided. Or banded cost dependant on how interesting the opposition and therefore demand is likely to be.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

It is quite simple.
If the season goes well, people will forget the £2 increase.
However if it goes the other way...

I hear you, but you have to consider that its a balancing act on the Clubs part. We as fans cant expect a decent budget and playing side and ticket prices far below the average. Its not sustainable for the Club. Our prices seem about right given our Geography and present status as a league one club in England. Whether or not those prices are too high in comparison to other leagues/countries/sports is a different argument. NTFC has very little control over that. Slashing ticket prices whilst maintaining a competitive budget would be financial suicide for the club. So whilst i may not be happy with the overall pricing of football in this league and in this country, i understand the move from the Club. I do think a family ticket could be introduced though...that might help the situation by capping the cost of taking your family to watch the game, regardless of number of children/ages etc.

Not necessarily, because only the season ticket holders will be left anyway...

It's free public transport across the whole region with a match day ticket and buses, trams and rains are available after evening matches. Free programme as you go through the turnstile. And many clubs have a fan house owned by the supporters. Great match day experience.

Yes...plus bier, gluhwein, bratties, pretzels and fricadelle brought to your seat during the games...

Yeah that's the point I'm making, a good season and people will come anyway. And if not, your casual/ walk-up/ now and again fan may be less likely to bother.

A few years ago Bradford used to charge away fans £20 when the average was about £15. To get over it, the cost for the home fans at the other end was £20 for non members and £15 for members, and membership cost £5 per year. Maybe we could do some thing similar ?

I think that is a rubbish opinion; if you want the kind of service as outlined by Deepcut - the UK is not for you! To be mollycoddled like that would drive most of us up the wall. As for your comment ref the referendum; this Island did ok without Europe for centuries; we are a trading nation and should be capable of making our own way in the world without the Germans/French etc holding our hands.

Similarly Crewe have done it for years.....last year their walk up admission price was £22 but for members it was £17.50, annual membership was £20 though!! We charge £25 for our membership and that gives you one whole English Pound off the normal prices if booked in advance.

Centuries you say? What about in the modern world you know the one after we blew the bugle for assistance from America. Why shouldn't we as citizens expect really good integrated public transport, combined tickets for sports and other major events? The German's have got it spot on with lots of things. The whole football experience being one of them. Time you ducked your head back behind your Daily Mail.

I don't read the Daily Mail -you do appear to have a chip on your shoulder when you start to comment on current affairs. About 2/3 weeks ago you were relatively lucid on this board ; all of a sudden after the Referendum you almost seem unhinged.Surely the result has not got to you?

Good to see you are doing your research. And as for lucidity, well I would argue that I make more sense than a lot of people. It's the rest of the world that has gone mad. You've nailed it there too I am upset about the referendum. result . An apparently irreversible knee jerk vote with that bought votes off UKIP for a worried Prime Minister that had a foundation in xenophobia at best and racsism at worst. To get back on topic what sort of price do you think should be charged for L1 football?

I was shocked at the price I had to pay at Stanley for a "seated" ticket. Really your comment is a bit on the rhetorical side as it depends on how the team is performing; if well like at Pompey would have paid double for a seat! If not so good £18'ish. Generally I could not care less about heated seats, Frauleins or German Salami delivered to where I sit. Just happy to be there; as for me being in the presence of a Cobblers crowd in full swing is a pretty good experience.
