Webb made one mistake in the WC Final and that was not sending off De Jong for the assault on Alonso.

Agreed. The Ref in S/F should have sent off Van Bommel so he would have missed final (and may have made dutch think twice about their strongarm tactics in WCF). VB then proceeded to ruin final with his dangerous play & whinging. So, HW's life was made more difficult by the S/F. If HW had sent off DeJ it would have been a better game -players knew they could get away with anything & did !! - was it last 5 mins when someone eventually was sent off?

I thought he was rubbish in the world cup final.
Are you serious?! He may have had a bad press from the Spanish but I thought overall he referred the game amicably considering the attitudes of the two teams that night. The only real mistake of note was not dismissing De Jong for his "tackle" on Xabi Alonso but the camera angles afterwards showed that from where he was standing in relation to the incident it would have impossible for him to see. He could have ruined that game if he'd have referred to the book but instead (as he usually does) he used common sense and ensured that the WC final didn't end as a 5-a-side game because several players were being absolute tossers in that game.

If i were Sammo I'd ban all Cobblers players from using Twitter. It's a recipe for disaster and I can't imagine any of the brains in the side having anything worthwhile to say

Twitter and Facebook are like the bubonic plague, infecting huge swathes of our population. Some of us are still immune and will breed a new race free of Billy-no-mates.

I agree. I've no interest in it whatsoever. It's just another way of feeding the huge ego's of the likes of Rio Ferdinand etc..

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Yet you chose to open a thread where the title really could not have spelt out much clearer what you are going to find
