I did laugh when I read that the apparent gate was over 10,000 yesterday Who were they trying to kid. I also thought the away following looked bigger than the total that was announced. Our goal was a fantastic team move. If that kind of attack can slowly become more regular, then we will start turning these draws into wins pretty quickly I think.

Fourth time I've seen us play this season but the first time with the little fat lad sitting in front of defence (every good side needs one). With Moloney also back and JJ and Taylor pushed further up, I think we are now only two pieces of the jigsaw away from a decent team for this division, those being the pieces played yesterday by Gorre and Beautyman. If Page can get that right he might also think about starting Richards ahead of the impressively hardworking Revell.

Problem with Richards is he is not fit and carrying an injury so not sure how many minutes he would be able to last.

As someone has already alluded to, more quality in the Gorre and Beautyman positions and we're looking at a solid side. It was so glaringly obvious yesterday that we are missing those pieces to the puzzle. We got into so many good areas and then the end product was poor, especially from Gorre. With a better end product that game was there for the taking towards the end. Good point on the road though, need to start getting some wins on the board at Sixfields.

We have a solution, for Gorre read D'Ath, for Beautyman read Byrom.

Has there ever been a time when everyone on this board keeps spouting off exactly the same. To a fan, we all know whats so badly needed!
I think half of the problem (at least) with Gorre is that he's being played on the wrong side. Have we ever had such a one footed player?! I would like to see him given the time on the right before we accuse him of not making the right decisions etc. Its evident that when the balls threaded through to him, every single time it takes him several touches to get the ball on to his right foot and in control properly by which time the opportunity to cause any damage has long gone. Played on the right, surely logically that wouldn't be the case.
With regards to Beautyman, I see him as being more a central player. I'm sure thats what we were told when we signed him? Great turn though, best piece of skill from a Cobblers player since....Holmes was here!!
Defence...rock solid. I cannot recall us looking so strong at the back. Certainly not at this level.
Just over two days to sign that elusive winger/forward (or two) but we have to accept that most teams in our division are probably light in exactly the same area/s. Coventry certainly are! Same could be said for Wimbledon last week. Its going to run the distance, thats for sure. Players are going to be asking for silly bucks right down to the last couple of hours of this window. With the option to sign loan players gone outside of the window, it really does put the decent players available for a move in an even stronger position than in previous seasons.
KT/RP have a decision to make (if they haven't already). Do we take the risk of upsetting the dressing room and bringing in the quality needed but on (probably) far bigger wages than those here already. Or do we go with what we've got with maybe another kid or two to challenge for places?
Put it this way. IF we were to sign someone like Simpson on 5 grand a week, what happens when we try to get JJ or Smith to sign a new deal?!

I have a better solution; for Gorre a winger to provide opportunities as good as Holmes and Adams, for Beautyman not another midfielder but a marquee goalscorer! I agree with Drilling and now its over to KT in the next 48 hours!

I would rather carry on with Gorre and Beautyman if that's the 'solution'. Bryom is clearly not an attacking wide player/winger.

I don't think we need to worry about players disrupting the dressing room due to being on 5 grand a week.
