Thoughts so far? Clearly has ability at dead ball situations and whipped a few good corners in today, is he good enough for central midfield though? I'm not so sure.

Is he fit? Seems off the pace to me. Obviously good on the ball, but are his free kicks/ corners that good? Some are but some are average.

In my opinion, he seems absolute class. Battles a lot more expected and a huge upgrade on Byrom. Ball distribution is unreal.

Was an outstanding player, his legs are nearly gone defiantly his last season at this level. Not sure a younger fitter ball winner gives you more?

Taylor off the pace? Did you not see his tracking back, closing down & chasing lost causes in that second half? If only Gorre showed half the effort Taylor does he'd be alot more effective and be appreciated alot more by the fans. Seems happy in his premier league bubble...

I think he's getting a free pass from some on here because of his pedigree. Hits a high number off poor passes. one yesterday went to the left wing when there was absolutely nobody there.

I concur about him getting a bit of a free pass. I'm not certain he's a centre midfielder to be honest, although I'm not certain any of the midfield are playing in their actual positions currently.... However, I don't think he's remotely fit yet and do think he will be a classy player when he is.

Actually, I think he's as fit as he's going to get. He runs and runs throughout the game and doesn't appear to tire - it's just that he doesn't run very quickly any more! In fact, he slows the game right down. With him and JJ in the middle there's a distinct lack of pace through the middle altogether. He's decent from set pieces but from open play I'm not sure how much he adds to the side.

With him and OToole in the centre I'm not sure who should be holding and who should be pushing on. O'Toole was quality in that role for much of last season but was poor yesterday. I think there was a lack of definition yesterday on who was doing what and where. This will not show any player in a good light and then it's who ran around a lot as positives. Might as well get Gilligan back then if that's what's needed.
Taylor will come good.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

Anyone who says Taylor is off the pace quite simply knows nothing about football

He's used to a better standard of football. Perhaps there should have been someone there to receive his pass.

What passes? I counted one all game. Which was one more than Tuesday night. In the first half, he spent too much time making our back four a back five. Otherwise he seems to delight in wellying the ball as far upfield as he can. Jury out for me.

Looks like the players who maybe have played too many games are not gelling with the players who have not played enough games. That is down to bad management.

Wasn't present on Tues but if our game is supposed to be built around counter attack (I'm not sure it is btw) he will need players getting ahead of him and into positions, it would help if we played with more width. I certainly don't think he's off the pace as some would suggest.

I agree that our movement off the ball is part of the problem. None of Hoskins, Beautyman, or Sonupe are offering that. Gorre does for the first fifteen minutes, and then just seems to switch off. I know D'Ath hasn't scored in 24 appearances, but he does run off the ball, as I believe does Potter, whom Gorre was guilty of not releasing at Charlton. If an opposition manager had players pressure and pounce on JJOT and Taylor, we don't have enough quality outside them to bail us out.

Taylor with out any doubt has been in our top three performers so far this season along with Buchanan and Zackuani.
Judging from the above some of you need to call it a day on watching football and take up something less sensory demanding like practicing rigor mortis.

How would you know? It doesn't look as if you went to Charlton or Oldham.

Looks can be deceiving. I didn't go to Oldham though. Even our superfan has missed one game this season so far.
