i think page has taken a massive risk , far to much emphasis and who ha on waiting for quality players , bums on seats players etc etc
now he has signed hooper and even doubtful supporters are hoping he will do better now than he has performed ever thus far in his career

i think its a lose lose , too much responsibility on the young lads shoulders , people will want goals and fast , wheres the service going to come from ? if this lad struggles he flops again at this club and pages reputation will suffer badly

if port vales chairman was adamant that grant wasn't coming here even if he made him sit in the reserves , then why send a decent goal scorer here ?  it can only be that he isn't good enough for port vale

im sorry but the pre season that people said "didn't matter" has shown what was lacking and hasn't been resolved , the waiting game hasn't paid off and it just looks like poor planning and very poor recruitment with the exception of zac , revel and taylor

I remember him being pretty ineffectual first time round. I appreciate his unfinished business here comment. You just never know. Welcome and good luck JJ but remember... There'll only ever be one JJ for me.  Grin

People saying they remember being glad when he left, why?

From what I remember he had a cracking pre season and was then left out by Boothroyd.

The lad is 22 which is very young for a striker, with experience like Rico and Revell around him I'm pretty confident they can help him on.

So if we signed Kemar Roofe who was rubbish here, would people moan. Give JJ a chance.

I think Roofe and Hooper have had slightly different success rates since leaving us.

He is a step up from what Richards is able to offer at the moment.

Welcome JJ. Looking forward to you becoming our highest goal scorer this season  Grin

As he was in their starting eleven, why have Vale loaned him to us? I have never understood loaning a player to a club in the same division....

To make room in their squad for Adam le fondle (himself).

Looking forward to him banging in the goals and proving everyone wrong.

Hopefully we'll play 4-4-2 now and be more effective with two strikers that each offer something different.

I think Roofe and Hooper have had slightly different success rates since leaving us.

I think Kemar Roofe is a good example of what is possible when you take a chance with a young player. When Oxford signed him at the start of last season he had only played a handful of games (around 35) and scored 7 goals whilst playing for teams in league 2. Harper is the same age that Kemar was last August, has played over 30 games at a higher level and scored 5 goals. By all accounts although starting the last 3 games for Port Vale this year, he has been played out of position, and has failed to score.

I think people should give him a chance.

I think everyone will give him a chance, also hope he does well, but after all the bull about being patient and improving the squad quite frankly it's worse than last year.

What is your problem? Did he run aver your dog? Did he buy the last loaf of bread just before you got the chance in your local shop one morning? Did he save your football club from oblivion? Start coming up with some facts or justification for your constant drivel.
