If they've never been tempted to come before with the cheap ticket offers or to see a winning team ....maybe they will never come? Not even with the promise of ten seats each?

Someone within 100 miles doesn't know we exist after the last 12 months! 250,000 people live within 5 miles of Sixfields the demographics suggest many of those are families with young kids who have never been to or unlikely without encouragement, ever step foot in the place. While we remain a football club with investment posibilities due to having some land to build a hotel and some other none football related development. ... we will remain 20 years behind our rival neighbouring clubs who have their houses in order.

what encouragement do you suggest then because winning the league and countless ticket offers haven't worked before. perhaps these people are not interested in football, even with the promise of 10 seats each. please feel free to ignore this as well seeing as it doesnt fit your argument ps there isn't 250,000 people within 5 miles of sixfields

Can you two stop fighting as you're both right to a degree! Decades of mis-management, basement football and the knowledge that Sixfields is small has of course affected interest and support despite the heroics of last season. Beds is right though about the stadium and encouraging support, the EFL draw being the perfect example where we can only get an extra 1000 or so locals in. You can't use the Baggies as an example as all attendances were poor, the interest in the first rounds just simply isn't there. We all wish for success and Sixfields has been adequate for the 4th division, but get out of this league (the right end!) and the ground will thoroughly affect our chances of securing the necessary revenue to survive.
Anyway, back on topic 4-2 is all else I have to say!

There is a valid argument there. Been said a hundred times but...only last week, loads of Northampton didn't even try (or minimal effort) to get tickets for Edgbaston, given that Northants received only 800 tkts, thus presuming a (officially stated admitedly sellout) despite tickets towards the end of the week becoming available through various means. This does not necessarily apply to the ****, who hook or Steve Crook will try. However, the floater who can walk up to the Madstad in Reading with confidence of entry is a different kettle of Michael Fish!
A 'floater' can walk up to sixfields and get a matchday ticket. As i said 2500 empty seats against West Brom. You can't build a Stadium the size of your biggest ever potential crowd on the off chance that you might sell it out once evry few years with a good cup tie. You are literallly Gambling on cup draws at that point. It doesnt make financial sense. If sixfields was expanded to the size of stadium MK, it would be an awful matchday experience - 20% full, fans scattered all over, no atmoshere. No thank you. Lets start selling out the capacity that we have on a regular basis first!

That's not my argument at all, what I want is the ability to have extra capacity for the big games in order to encourage a new generation of fans to get on board thus allowing families groups and walk ups to access the stadium for our several bigger games we play this season. Only those already regulars on the data Base get a look in at the moment. I'm all about building up the fan Base. All of that possible on Tuesday against Premiership opposition - Reduced prices and capacity to spare, even after giving West Brom the east. So tell me Bedscobb, where were all these fans that are dying to get into sixfields and are regularly turned away? because we havent sold out yet this season. As for the comment 'Only those already regulars on the data Base get a look in at the moment' that is complete and utter BS and you know it is. Are you telling me the club would turn someone away on matchday if they tried to buy a ticket with cash and they werent on the database?

Completely disagree it the quality of the view from the seat of the game that people want, is the east stand sold out on match days no, is the north stand sold out no, is the west upper yes nearly all season ticket holders because the view is of a quality that people will get off their arse and pay for. I bet if the east was a mirror of the west stand we would have 5000+ season ticket holders.

As as west stand upper ST holder, for exactly that reason, its hard to disagree with you. However, the West lower also sells before the North and East do. I had always put that down to offereing better value. Matchday tickets cost the same in any stand and the west offers better shelter, better toilets, a concourse, better food and drink options. For me, that makes it a no-brainer wihout even considering the view. Maybe the east will be a better proposition when it is complete, but until then i struggle to see how the club justifies the match day pricing. The west stand season ticket prices are flat for the whole stand and there are plenty of season tickets in the lower tier also. So i guess not everyone shares mine and yours' view on where is 'best'.

I think it has been answered elsewhere, but as you're not willing to look. Maximum 1600 - if you're lucky, and depending on home ticket sales. Do you think you'll sell that many?
