Following on from Which fruit am I eating? How about this? I'm sat in the window looking out on a busy Northampton main Road. I can see greenery but also busy traffic. I am drinking a pint of Pure Goose IPA. The walls are cream the floor is wooden and the pub has a unique special feature. A sort of Northampton pubs through the keyhole!

Never been in there myself, but it sounds like the Olde England.

Artizan.
You can't really see greenery or busy traffic from there though.

So nearly the Elephant or Olde England then! Close really. Always heard rumours that back in the day the Elephant was known as a "the" pub for 70s 80s troublemakers That right?

My mate once arranged to meet one of the other students on his uni course in there not after starting at Park Campus. He walked up to the bar and ordered a pint, which the barman responded to by saying "Do you know anyone in here?" Upon admitting he didn't the barman said "I think you'd better **** off then, don't you?" and promptly walked off to serve someone else! Personally, I have many "fond" memories of popping into The Swinging Sporran for a post work pint while working in Weston Favell Centre. You could guarantee that at least once per visit some plain clothed police officers would come in and have a look around to see who they could spot!

Also remember the Keep at Kingsthorpe which was undetground? As a young kid I used to think it was the height of sophistication, any thoughts?
