On the subject of the town centre... has anyone seen the state of the new paving they are putting in on Abington Street?
They are doing it area by area but it's getting increasingly difficult to tell the difference between what's already been done and what's yet to be done!
The newly paved areas are uneven in places and are already filthy and stained. I'm not sure how that happens in such a short space of time - have they used a type of brick that is a bit too porous and is soaking everything up, don't they bother cleaning it or are people in this town just as rough as arseholes and drop more mess on the floor than in other places?
I too have wondered about the stains, but have come to the conclusion that this always happens, its just that it shows up more on the nice new shiny ones, than it did on the old dirty ones.
When you look at the old sections in Abington Street though, with regard to the dips n hollows, it shows just how much damage the heavy rides on the St Crispin street fair did. And what the fcuk is going on in St Giles Square by the Old Bank? Current bus route or not, it looks ready to collapse.
