Just heard an interview with Paul Anderson saying he prefers to play on the left. I hope he starts there Sunday and Gorre is moved over to the right.

Given that JJOT is suspended and Zak is away on international duty, this the side I would like to see.

Smith
Maloney Nyatanga Diamond Buchs
Gorre McCourt Taylor Anderson
Revell JJ Hooper

MK are struggling to sell their allocation, they have plenty of Spare tickets for the East Stand and a few left for the South Stand.

Looks good to me, but unsure if I would put Beautyman ahead of McCourt. Would be nice to see him in his preferred position, and he can get stuck in when needed. Doesn't provide the solidity McCourt does though. Maybe McDonald ahead of Nyatanga if he was as bad as people made out against Wycombe.

Hopefully the boo boys decide to give some more positive vocal support as well, instead of trying to bring the players down before we are even 10 games into the season.

Agree with all of this. Maybe even Richards(if fit)for Hooper if we are playing wingers the old fashioned way and getting crosses in. Hopefully the negative moaners stay at home and watch on TV.

I would definitely have gone for Richards instead of JJ if he was fit.

beautyman in for JJ - 451 or 433 whichever way you want to look at it.

richards wont all of a sudden be 100% fit.

Agreed would definitely rather have Beautyman than Hooper.

Apart from WBA he has opted for 442 at home. I picked the extra forward as a bit concerned about our lack of goals

After the AFC Wimbledon game I don't think I ever want to see Revell and Richards as a pairing again, unless it is last 5 minutes chasing a game!

I'd like to see Beautyman given a chance behind Revell, with Gorre and Anderson either side. Give him strict instruction to stay close to Revell and no be afraid to run beyond him. Hooper can come on 2nd half if Beautyman isn't doing as he's told and starts to drop too deep.

Also agree to an extent about Gorre switching wings but I'd like to see our two wide players switching during the game and being flexible, give their back 4 something to think about

We couldn't score with them together for 90 mins, why would you want them together when we are chasing a game??

Well, it is not a particularly strong desire but you surely realize a blood and thunder 5 minutes, where we are chucking it in to the box at every opportunity could be more dangerous with those two in there?

Akin to some teams sticking a centre back upfront for the last few minutes, you wouldn't want to do it all game but it could work in that scenario

ah, the classic 2 stikers means more goals theory.

Remind me, which game was the most impressive performance so far this season and wielded 2 goals in a single game?

Sorry, I was just doing that old fashioned thing of playing goalscorers. The game you mention was impressive however we haven't been banging them in when playing that system away.

Sorry, I was just doing that old fashioned thing of playing goalscorers. The game you mention was impressive however we haven't been banging them in when playing that system away.

Thats because our system away from home is:

Adam smith kicks it really long and really high in the general direction of our striker. Opposition defender wins the header, they create an attack and either score a goal or it ends up back with Adam Smth, and we rinse and repeat.

We scored goals for fun last season playing 1 up top, with 3 behind - the problem this season is that the three behind have not been up to scratch and our tactics dont match our formation (see above) except for West Brom where Gorre and Beautyman both had better games. Maybe Anderson will help with that.

It just annoys me when people seem to think that 4-4-2 is automatically more attacking than 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1. It isnt. Last season proved that, and our games so far this season have proved that. (only time we score 2 90 minutes is with 1 up top)

Funnily enough, I have commented at all our games this season that Smith is kicking much longer than last season.  I put that down to Paddy Kenny's coaching, but maybe you're right that it's more tactical.

                      Smith
   Moloney Nyatanga Diamond Buchs

               McCourt Taylor

     Gorre   Beautyman  Anderson

                  Revell

Cant see the problem with the players we have out, this is the best and most well balanced team.

Not just longer but much less wayward this season. His kicking was awful last season.
