I've called it'Look Norfolk' for years. There's quite a bit of underlying animosity to Look East in these parts which manifested itself one time in the 1980's at Finedon Carnival. A reporter of theirs (can't remember name, curly hair, round glasses, the 'roving reporter') was in the parade as a 'celebrity' sitting like a twat in the on the back of a small trailer being towed by a car. When he passed my mates and I spontaniously started booing and shouting 'Did you get lost on your way from Norwich, sod of back to Norfolk and the like. We were surprised at out mutual dislike of Look East and took great delight in having a surprise chance to express it.   When the BBC were filming kick-start in the 90s at Eastcote. My brother and his mates (not me) were threatened with police action by Peter Purves for constantly pratting about on camera. I remember they stood by an obstacle doing a four man Mexican wave at one point |

I remember when Anglia had 'match of the week' A long time ago I know, but they paid to much attention to Norwick ect. Than the smaller clubs, So nothing seems to have changed there then!

Bit harsh - after a pint or two would have no probs taking her to the Royal East India Company. She speaks nicely too. Obviously Feelie the women around you are all Hollywood bimbo's. In Northampton she is passable. Still................each to his own! |

I have always found it strange that Northampton & MK are even considered to be in the East Anglia region. Norwich and Ipswich are distant towns with which there is no connection. Geographically I think we should be in an area equating to Oxford, Luton and MK but tv aerials would have to be repositioned so it will not happen and those in Northampton will continue to be enthralled by events faraway in Anglia.

No mention of our score this evening in the round up only mentioned that Peterborough beat us through the week when they read out their score. Then they gave a round up of the Saints.

I'm thinking of writing a strongly worded letter to Points of View or Newswatch.

The whole thing is an absolute disgrace and I don't blame you for emailing. In 2016 the fact the some people are still having to rely on watching Look East for their Cobblers results is disgraceful.

I also picked up this omission, and having given the BBC a verbal warning the last time this happened after the Swindon game (well I rang their complaints number and had a moan!), I've now escalated things and put it in writing .... here's the link to where you too can make a complaint about the poor coverage they give to The Cobblers https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/complaints/forms/?lang=en&reset=&uid=406194485This is the summary of what I said:- YOUR COMPLAINT: Complaint Summary: There was no mention of Northampton Town's result Full Complaint: There was no mention of Northampton Town's result in today's Look East program. They won 4-2 away at Shrewsbury Town and this should have been listed in the League 1 tabulation that was shown which only mentioned the MK Dons v Southend and Peterborough Utd v Wimbledon matches. For the record, Northampton is a part of the Look East region, and immediately after the Football results were given, Northampton Saints featured in a clip of action from their game in France which also took place this afternoon, and Northampton was one of the locations highlighted on the Regional Weather Map used in the bulletin. I am very interested in your response to this situation and it is not the first time it has happened in the last month or so - no mention of their 3-1 win at Swindon Town on 27 Sept either. To me, this is just very very sloppy reporting and reflects what I believe is a traditional Ipswich / Norwich / Cambridge geographic bias across all topics and items in the show. Finally, when on earth are we going to get Local Programs in HD? I will remind you that it is 2016 and that I am thoroughly fed up with continually having to change my BBC station on the satellite receiver from 115 (BBC1 HD) which I view the main national news on to 962 to view Look East (West) and then return when it's finished. Can I suggest that you could save me a lot of trouble just by showing BBC London as the default local station linked to channel 115 - BBC1 HD? I know that it will not feature local news and topics that are relevant to my local area but bearing in mind my complaint from earlier today, you don't feature news and topics from my local area that are relevant to me anyway!! Again this just looks and feels sloppy, and can you imagine the humour generated from trying to explain the situation of HD broadcasting for national programs and SD for local programs to some visitors from the USA who visited us a couple of weeks ago? I rest my case, not nearly good enough!! Please feel free to raise your own complaints about this, it really grates with me, as you can probably tel!! I'll let you know how I get on and whether they try to fob me off ...... |

Lol. Part of me thinks it's bad they omit us but......if anyone has time to email Look East let alone watch it in this day and age then maybe the phrase "get a life" is applicable.
This new fangled Internet thing might solve a lot of your issues :-)
