Fantastic afternoon. Thoroughly deserved win for Brackley. Proper scenes when they equalised & won the shootout. Brackley the only team trying to play football. Bromley were pure Boothroyd!
If only we showed half the never say die attitude Brackley did then we certainly would not have been relegated.

I have to wonder if they would have traded that win for a win in the play-off final.

I think, a Wembley win is better than a promotion any supporters, as we all know from that first play off..Those day out at Wembley memories are special. Quite possible that it will impact NTFC in the future, any kids that went there with Brackley as their supported second team (assuming their first choice is a Prem league club) would go to watch them as a causal supporter rather than Cobblers... There are rumours of some small tie up with the Mercedes F1 team as they are near neighbours, something to do with land and new stand . Note to Beds...Only need an 11,700 stadium now instead of 12000..

Interesting idea for Mercedes F1 and Brackley Town to link up. Although Mercedes dont have any land to donate to the Football Club, they could help fund a new Stand on the East side of St James Park. Though what would be the benifit to Mercedes is unclear.

I see Steve Diggin scored for Brackley in the penalty shootout. I used to play against him at youth level but can't remember which team. Ajax? Kingsthorpe? Gregory Celtic? Can anybody remember? Thanks

After so many near misses, is this the year Brackley finally manage to haul themselves out of the National League North and into the top non-league tier?
In their top of the table clash today they defeated title rivals Gateshead 1-0 in front of a record league crowd of 1,557. That win extended their unbeaten run to 15 games, eleven of them wins, and also eleven clean sheets in that time.
They are level on points with Gateshead, a game in hand on them, with just eight to play. Kevin Wilkin is doing a grand job at St James Park

I'd love to see them up in the National League proper and hopefully in a few years in the big leagues.

They and Gateshead are so far ahead that they are both already in the playoffs as a minimum.

Looks like a complicated set up. Think they play the winner of Chorley and Boston on Saturday or Sunday in the semi and then would be at home to either Flyde, Kidderminister or York in the final. They need to turn their recent form around.

They need Kabamba, Ashley-Seal or Rose to score some goals.

The positions changed a bit in the end..... Boston pipped Kettering to the final place and travel to Kidderminster tonight. The other eliminator was between York and Chorley, played out in front of over 6600 fans last night, the Minstermen took a 2-1 win and therefore travel to Brackley on Saturday.

Brackleys lack of goals caught up with them in the end….a 1-0 home defeat to York ends the Saints dreams for yet another year.

Brackley get through to the semi-finals of Conference League North play-offs - beating Gloucester City in a penalty shoot-out.
Kettering were relegated from the same league.
We need to do better as a county.

Kettering were relegated from the same league.
And Rushden relegated from the Southern League Central Premier Division. Kettering's owner has stepped down and Rushden are running a "Save Our Summer" campaign to help them get the funds to not start dipping into next seasons budget.

Brackley through to the final after a narrow 1-0 win at Chester in front of a crowd of 4,479 (242 Saints fans), they will face Kidderminster at home next week for a place in the National League.
