I would hope all fans get fully behind the team and Page for our fixture against Bolton what ever their feelings are. Look what happened when everyone pulled together through adversity last season. Bolton may underestimate us cobblers

Had a chat yesterday with a mate who has a family member working at the club. He told me Page has lost the dressing room due to the verbal abuse dished out to smithy, and the reason smith is off form is due to the treatment he's having to put up with. If this is the case then giving page a chance could prove very costly.

So you are saying the players are a bunch of pussies who aren't up to taking a deserved roasting? Wilder did it all the time but apparently it was alright then. So Page should have put his arm around Smith's shoulder and said. "It's alright lovely" after Smith's error lost us the game against our rivals in the 92nd minute? The way I felt when the ball went in the net I would have been grappling with him on the floor if I could have got anywhere near him. This all does seem very personal about Page. A lot of fans decided early on they don't like him and are now wallowing in the lack of points recently. It was clear so early on, Page and the sports scientist bloke were being slaughtered because we didn't do well in pre-season friendlies. The season hadn't even started! Page has done some things wrong without a doubt, and what has aggravated me most is he has repeated some mistakes as if he doesn't learn the first time which isn't good in a managerial position but the season isn't even four months old, he needs time if he is to get things right. Time and our support.

I have no inside information whatsoever but I would think this is mischievous gossip. There is no sign that RP has lost the dressing room and this picture of him somehow does not fit in with his personality. I could be wrong but let's face it Smith has had a poor run of form and made a number of poor decisions. Most would agree RP was right to drop him.

Just passing on what I was told, but if it's true it's worrying. IMO fans are now turning on page because of his negative tactics and as you say above he's not learning. Maybe he's the sort who's always right. Also you have to remember we are the paying public and because of that have the right to criticise when what we pay for is dire time and again. Finally, how much time do you suggest we give him, his tactics are seeing us drop down the division like a stone after what was a promising start.

I am not here to defend RP but I don't see fans, by which I mean the vast sensible majority, turning against him. There will always be those who make noises against any manager. As I have commented before lose against Bolton & a shocker at Stourbridge and then there will be pressure. Personally, I hope not and just want to see us doing well.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think that the goal against Poo was all down to Smith. Nyatanga just let their guy run off him, so in my opinion, was equally to blame. I must say I'm not at all impressed by Page criticising individual players in the press, that should stay in the dressing room.

95% of fans are right behind Page, sadly the 5% are very vocal. They need to be told they are in the minority. Let's get right behind the team from minute 1 to minute 96 and see how we do. Any negativity during the game will do nothing to help your team!

I don't get this either. I've seen the replay, Smith wasn't too blame one bit in my opinion. I accept its subjective though.

I *think that people are supportive of him but most have their doubts. And those doubts are getting bigger by the game. Personally, Im about at the stage I was after the Tranmere game under Wilder. My heart is saying he's not the answer, my head is saying that look what happened last time! Time will tell. Im cool about today. We are playing a team which most likely earns around 10 times the ££ that ours team does. Id be delighted with a draw. Its the first home game Ive gone to for an awful long time when Ive felt we are truly underdogs. Hopefully that will inspire us to a famous win!

I'd take a draw today, that would be a good result. Not sure what the negative minority will do if we lose, if the start calling for Page Out that would be ridiculous in my opinion. Do they think there is a pool or more successful managers wanting to come to NTFC? COME ON COBBLERS!

Its a strange one at the moment. I cannot remember a time when I've questioned the manager after we've actually won games (e.g. Bury)! I also strongly disagree that he sets teams out defensively. Our first half performances have mainly been excellent but for some reason it all goes wrong in the 2nd half. I put that down to game management and a on the face of it a reluctance to make proactive changes during the cause of the game. I would love the interviewers to ask him why he makes certain substitutions etc because he may well be able to fully justify what he's doing. But he never ever gets bloody asked!

MY mates half brother sisters mum used to work at a football club in Northampton, which had footballers in it and a manager, she said she heard the manager say 'We set ourselves limits, but we are all strong enough to aim higher, to achieve our goals. All we have to do is find such strength within ourselves. Know how to develop it.'

I'm pretty sure he called, then changed his mind, hence Nyatanga ducking out.

In hindsight? Yes definitely,Nyatanga didn't help matters but Smith should have been out, bowled through everyone, and punched it clear for the final play of the game. Driller obviously on another one of his pathetic wind ups to say Smith wasn't at fault at all.

Great subs and formation change from RP today, god knows how it didn't win us the game.
Great to see as this is one of the main issues the people calling for his head have had.
Keep it up, RP!

I think the main reason people are calling for his head is that we are in absolute relegation form over a pretty decent chunk of the season so far and we're 3rd bottom in the last 10 games form table.

The Stourbridge game is massive - I notice that they won 5-0 this afternoon. Still can't believe that bt/BBC didn't decide to televise this as it's got banana skin written all over it.
